Why musicians who are PoE fans weep.
The music in Path of Exile is as good as that of any other game I have ever played, and often much better.
The composers for this game compare (quite favorably, imo) to musicians such as Jeremy Soule, Mark Morgan, and Matt Uelmen. And yet... Studies on excessive background music (especially elevator music, or muzak) have shown how it desensitizes and sometimes even antagonizes listeners. I recently re-enabled music in the game, and realized how great the work of your composers is. And that's what makes me so baffled that we cannot selectively disable music in the hideout while enabling it in maps. It is altogether too clunky to re-enable the music after every portal into a map and re-disable it after every portal back into the hideout. Obviously. And hearing the same music ad nauseam in our hideout space is not a reasonable alternative. So consider this a heartfelt plee from a professional musician who wants to enjoy the work of your talented artists. Allow us to disable hideout music. PLEASE. Wash your hands, Exile! Hey, I like that suggestion. No hideout music but BGM everywhere else is an idea I can get behind.
(would also love a way to get classic tracks like original Lioneye's Watch back, but that's probably pie in the sky pipe dream talk.) Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/

They should add the ability to set the background music of our hideout to be disabled entirely or to be the exact music from an area or a part of the story that you like, We can already modify just about everything else that affects the user in these areas.
They could likely sell a few BGM in the cash shop while they are at it. Innocence forgives you

That is not a pie in the sky idea. I want the original music back. The newer music does not have the same power behind it. I would love to have the ability to play the original music in the areas that it applies to.

" I would be interested in the OG PoE OST. Would a public link work, or do you prefer sharing in PMs? Edit: Derp, youtube search first of course! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yABgRlfDWY Need to find one with Act 4 as well. Last edited by Jackalope_Gaming#1826 on Aug 3, 2019, 10:01:02 PM

I do hope they do something with Hideout music, should be able to set something nice while planing and tinkering. I do miss old Solaris music for that exact reason. xD |

" Do you really think it would be too hard for them to put a setting that allowed the original music to be played where applicable? Also, I do not know the reasons why they replaced Adgio's music with Kamil's, please do tell. |

" Pretty much this. " Or this, pardon the comparison, but I liked how there is a Jukebox object in Minecraft and you can just play whatever CD's music you own with it (Minecraft is another game where I just like the music, as simple as it can be). SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
