Trade Macro

Exiles,

I can't seem to access the trade macro even though I followed the instructions. I downloaded and installed hot key, downloaded the Trade Macro at github, unzipped the zip file, double clicked on "Run Trade Macro", with PoE in windowed fullscreen, and tried control C, and nothing happened in the game. Task manager shows the trade macro running but I can't access it.

I also tried all the above running PoE with IE since the macro instructions refer to IE and got the same results..nada. I also checked my virus protection, unclicked block third party pop-ups, then tried all the above with virus protection off completely and still no go. Help, any ideas?...TerryBull

I myself have to run the script as admin, or it wont work. Hope it works for you as well.

crazylikE,

Thanks for the suggestion but I was already playing as administrator. So now what?

I also tried ad block plus off and changed my performance key from F1 to F8; allowed pop-ups but nothing.

How do you start it in-game? I tried both right and left control-c and control-w but nothing happened.

Task manager still shows PoE Trade Macro running; but it doesn't show in game. What does it look like when it IS working as designed?

You dont see it ingame until you use one of the commands. When the script is running, there will be an icon on the tray area on the task bar in windows. It's a black icon with "Path of Exile" on it, but the text is very small so you probably only see the word "Exile". You can right click it and you will get a lot of different options. Among them are the settings gui where you can change hotkeys etc.

I dont think control+w or control+c does anything by default. I might have changed the hotkeys at some point though, so I might be wrong.

CrazylikE,

Thanks for that fine description of what it should look like when Trade Macro is running. The problem is when I run PoE in windowed fullscreen there is no taskbar. Well, there is a taskbar until you try to click on it and then it disappears. You access out of game windows with alt/tab which shows all open windows to choose from. The (borderless) windowed mode described on the installation instructions at Github is not a choice in game on my computer.

I am running Chrome browser on a Windows 7 Pro operating system. I have tried all three windows in options/graphics. Nothing happens on any of them. It's probably something simple that I am doing or not doing. But what? I'm no computer whiz and know nothing about coding/scripting so I am at a total loss. What else could be the problem?

P.S. What does the auto hotkey do, exactly? I left click it goes to hot key instructions and right click tells me it's auto hot key with a choice to remove from taskbar. If it's not necessary to click on it and is only needed in the background to run scripts; I'll remove from taskbar.

Following the usage/instructions on the github page for the script, it should be working. It's hard to say what you are doing wrong.
maybe wrong version of AHK because it doesn't work with the latest version.
CrazylikE,HanSoloDK,

I had downloaded the latest hotkey so I deleted and loaded one for 64 bit from 2015. I get the same results, nothing but a hotkey box for changing an AHK file to EXE when I left click on hotkey on my taskbar in windowed mode.

How to you have a taskbar in the windowed fullscreen mode and I don't? there are only 3 choices, right? Windowed, fullscreen, and windowed fullscreen. As I stated previously there is no taskbar in windowed fullscreen nor in fullscreen; only in windowed mode.

Thank you fellow exiles for all your help but evidently the PoE Trade Macro was not to be for me. I want to get back to my play and I'm sure others don't have the macro either and are not suffering; it just takes longer to do the same things. Thanks again....TerryBull

P.S. If someone suddenly has an epiphany about this problem, be sure to let me know.
