Game often freezes

Hi GGG,

I'm having a issue when playing PoE for some time now and getting tired of exclusively dying due to client freezes.

Game freezes ususally once at the begining when I enter new map or location. Screen feezes for few seconds (~10 sec) and there is often stucked sound playing in the loop on background. When client wakes up I'm dead most of the time so it might be related to presence of enemies nearby. When I revive myslef sometimes happens that there is no sound at all and after another shorter client freeze sound starts to work again.

My drives should be up to date.

Here is my spec

I would guess that you are both CPU and GPU limited at the moment.

Since introduction of new water effect and dynamic lightning I can't offer to run on the highest graphic settings. But without it game is running fluently without any significant fps drops. Honestly I don't feel like I need upgrade right now. I might consider it in the near future but that doesn't solve the issue does it?

My guess would be that the issue is caused by preloading sounds or something like that.
well isn't both your C drive + PoE installed on the 2 SSD's you have ?

Here is my pc spec -->
Core i7-3770K, 16 GB ram, Asus GTX1070TI Cerberus Adv., Samsung 840 500GB SSD

And before the 1070TI i had a 970ti and in the end it wasn't powerfull enough but after my upgrade to 1070Ti PoE is running pretty ok now.

However I still planning a upgrade at the rend of the year to properly a 9900K, 2070 super and m2 SSD.

Yes it is. Smaller SSD is exclusively for System. Bigger just for PoE. Could it be somehow related?

I'm running almost clean system optimized for performance so maybe that makes bigger difference than I thought.
I don't know for 100%, but it's not poe problem i guess, just windows settings. Try to reinstall your windows to 8.1 like mine, i had the same problem, now it's gone.
