Lightning strike + hatred??

Lets say you use the aura hatred, are the projectiles going to also have the +cold damage bonus? or only when you hit a monster at melee distance?

Hatred isn't quite the best way to go with LS since it adds a portion of your physical damage on top of your attacks/attack skills and well LS converts parts of your physical damage to lightning makling hatred less effective.

It does however affect the projectiles as well as the main attack.

I'm fairly confident that hatred bases its damage on your physical damage after all modifiers but before converting to lightning.

Anyways - hatred is a great aura that will add masses of dps to LS.

While on the topic of this skill, I was wondering how the peirce mechanic on the skill works, and if the damage on the projectiles is amplified by iron will because on the wiki (which I have no idea is accurate or not) says that your strength bonus does not effect projectile damage.

Iron will wont help you one bit; Iron GRIP likely would, as it applies your strength bonus to projectile attacks.

However, this isn't really that big of a deal, as the projectile damage is based off of your Lightning Strike damage, so the % bonus from Str is already applied to LS, and therefore already applied to the projectiles.

Iron Grip could, theoretically, allow your str bonus to apply to the projectiles, potentially double-dipping. Without floating damage numbers or a combat log, though, its hard to test effectively.
