be lucky.
there you go. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Poe 0.2/10 Returning to poe in 3.27: ATROCIOUS game performance, 5/10 league and I apprently missed the loot back in the last league. The more things change the more they stay the same.. |

" If you want to go with a measurable rate of income/hr you should be using chaos/hr. Chaos is he standard, much like the dollar. Exalts are the higher volatility currency that not all players get in a league. Using ex/hr would be the equivalent of someone expressing their rl salary in bitcoin/hr. You can do it, but it’s not consistent or even practical to do so. Last edited by fomori2#4773 on Jul 10, 2019, 10:40:49 PM

You need to farm with HH.
Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

how can you not? oh i know, you're not playing the game.
if you just run maps as fast as you can back to back non stop for an hour, you'll make an exalts worth of chaos in an hour easily. easily. whats an exalt right now, 175c? you can make like what...lets go with a conservative 10c profit (average) per map. you'd have to run 18 maps in that hour. thats very doable if you just run the map. 3 minutes and 20 seconds per map including vendor/dumping etc. very doable. and this is without getting lucky. obviously things go up and down. you'll find probably at least one exalt once you run 200 maps, or you'll get a good drop, or something. sometimes you'll find garbage for a few maps in a row, of course. it evens out. point is, you actually have to play the game if you want to make money. stop rerolling new characters and spending all your money on new gear and not spending your time grinding maps for profit. grind the maps. make a profit. period. literally count out 200 maps and run them. how long does it take you to run them all? 4 days? 4 hours? depends how you play |

" 10c profit per map as conservative guess? Thats crazy. If you go for 3min runs, you barely pick up anything. How much quantity do you need for that? Im usually happy, if a map can return its own cost (map + chisel + sextant + fragment + alch + scour). |

" What´s the point of investing in such map then? |
|
" it's all about quantity (not IIQ on items), as in quantity of maps/monsters you complete and kill. That's why glacier legion farming is so profitable. You may only pick up a few pieces of currency each map but with the shear quantity of maps/mobs you're completing you will get bigger ticket items (like exalts, annuls, divines etc) dropping more increasing your chaos/hour. As far as investing, with glacier (or other low level farming) you do not invest in your maps (alch and go at most). With red tier, you tend to invest more in your maps. I've been farming glaciers for a while now and using exilence to track my c/hour and on bad sessions I'm doing 350+. |

" yes, as a conservative guess. 3 min runs on an open layout map is not insanely fast. its pretty fast for a decent build, but your typical cyclone build should be able to clear in that time. you pick up what is necessary. basically zero rares, pick up all currency, shards and uniques. quantity? legion chests don't scale with map quant this league. so you just alch and go all low level or open layout maps that you enjoy running. all maps you get you can sell as well so investment is just a map and an alch. you easily make that up. i say 10c per map as a conservative guess but this is factoring in an average of like 50 maps or so. as i said, you can't just run one map and say "what the fuck i didn't get 10c!!" then call it quits. also, you need to value everything you pick up, even if you don't sell it (like maps). i averaged out a run of 200 maps i did and i was getting 18c per map average over 200. averaging it out over a map pool allows the lucky drops (exalts, 6 links etc) to be spread out over a longer period of time, and allows those slow maps to get consumed by the averaging of the higher spike maps. |

" To get maps back? Some people claim that in this league GGG buffed map drops compared to past leagues, but there is never official proof. I dont know if thats true. But in my experience you can either sustain red tier maps OR you can sustain currency. If you know how to do both without trading, please tell me. |
