How much POE Wealth is enough for you?

Wealth has never been my main drive. Once I get bored I have to stop, otherwise I'll fall asleep on the keyboard. I can have dozens of exalts like I do now but I'd rather let them rot and go do something that keeps me awake.

Since someone already came up with a number 4, this will be number 5:
Enough currency to get my desired amount of challenges(36).

Usually I get this amount of currency just with drops... 4-8 ex drops per league usually, this league I got 12 ex to drop(yay me). If I am ever short on ex/c, I use my fusings to get more ex/c. If not, I just use my fusings. Also, since I pick up almost every yellow and ID them and keep every unique I find, I usually have enough in my stash to make something like 20ex if I really need something(challenge/build dependant gear). Most gear I use is self-found though.
Every league I try to make it to 36 challenges by myself, but so far every league I have needed currency for some challenges. Challenges with insane RNG or things like uber elder/uber atziri.

I play niche or weird builds usually and if i'm playing something popular i usually craft my own gear so a couple of ex i'd say. I usually do my first clear of the atlas with <50c or so

As others have mentioned need currency for challenges I guess so the minimum possible to complete buying 15 items off boob jiggler (perandus) or the equivalent

Make enough to fund 40/40.

But increasingly it’s about the grind rather than some insane rng item/encounter to buy.

I've never been a challenge hunter, if I get some done fine but I mainly try to do my own builds and just get enough to fund those, but this league has been crazier pure currency drop for me.

I got off topic, my question is what do you have to buy for completing challenges? Just wondering since challenges haven't been at the top of my to do list.

I'm all for fun. I don't really care as long as I have fun.

Wanted to know which one y'all fall into or if it's a combination of some of them.

4. It's all just bytes of data (a bunch of numbers in a database) that could be gone (erased) in a second so it's of no real importance.

5. When GGG eventually shuts down (no software will live forever) the whole concept of PoE wealth is moot.

What you have to buy to complete challenges can be two things. One: Gear good enough so you can do (some of) the boss/farm challenges. Two: Some insane RNG challenges/high boss encounters like uber elder that players are selling.

you don't have to buy anything if you don't want the rewards.. there's some of the challenges that are more of a test of patience than anything else..

for example when I went full solo on "complete these encounters V" the vision of justice was bugged sometimes or I killed it too quick or I died under the offering of judgement and then the boss died at the same time..

died several times but I got it on my own.

the RNG challenges can and will be always annoying to me.

2, and then maybe 3 later in the league, but that would be crafting for personal use, to improve gear.
