Lag and rubber banding

Hi GGG

I have been playing POE for a while but since 3.7 me and a few mates have been getting very bad intermittent lag. When this happens the in game FPS counter goes from around 600ms up to 1800ms as a result we cant kill anything and there is almost no hit detection. However, when we test other games (Apex Legends, Fortnite, Dauntless, etc...) they work fine. POE is unplayable when these lag spikes occur.

Please assist.

Where are you from? São Paulo servers?

I haven't been able to play since yesterday... Depending on what instance I join, I get 200 latency.
Night and day the streets resounded with music, song and the clinking of chalices and tankards, for it is well known that nothing is such thirsty work as the acquisition of knowledge.

South Africa.
Does GGG usually take long to respond to queries...?
This is exactly what the gameplay looks like.

*bump*
Ping spikes of around 1500ms from South Africa as well. Have tried everything. even my ISP looked in to the issue.
They don't seem to be responding anymore... I don't know what happened. lol

the distance alone gives a good bit of latency, which will make you rubberband locationally

Other than that you have not captured the lag you speak of, either by being in the game while you test it, or by just straight up running the test when it wasn't happening.

Also, this rubbish with the "other games work fine"...it's meaningless, their servers would be in different locations and as such take different routes, they also handle the latency a lot differently, the reason PoE is as responsive and tight on the controls is because it relies heavily on your connection being good...other game like it have this delayed floaty feel to it and you can click a vendor from half a screen away as they try to hide latency/packet loss.

Please bear in mind that I have been playing POE without issue for almost a year and that the mentioned lag issue only started around two weeks ago.

I really don't understand why a few players get so defensive when it is mentioned that other games are working fine. Not everyone is implying that the other games are better than POE or that POE is the issue. Though I can only respond for myself, this was mentioned simply as a "basic reference" for the developer to show that the connection is working and stable enough to run other games regardless of distance or pc spec (whilst acknowledging that it is not an accurate or ideal measurement).

Most of us are here because we share one thing, we are fans of POE and if concerns are raised it is because we love the game and want to continue playing and supporting it.
