About "Book of Skill" (#Suggestion)
With some Bosses, I think you should get rid of the Books of Skill reward system and award the Skill Point upon killing the Boss.
So imagine it: 1. You're fighting a big Boss (whose defeat would normally yield a Book of Skill). 2. You kill the Boss. 3. At the same time, you hear a DING and that flash when you get a Passive Skill Point lights up your character. Think about how great that would feel; it would make the accomplishment feel so much better. You would feel like beating the Boss meant more. " This is a pretty old request that comes up every so often. It would definitely make a huge difference for racers, since it would enable them to complete entire acts and collect all skill/respec points without ever returning to town. I'd certainly prefer it that way, since I don't care about the story and would rather stay wholly immersed in combat from lvls 1-70, returning to town only if/when my inventory was overflowing with loot. There's not really an explicit reason for this not being a thing, it's probably just another example of programming limitations within older versions the game that needs to be updated and streamlined. By that I mean, it's easier to code a single "quest completed trigger" when you're in town talking to an NPC. Hopefully GGG gets around to updating this at some point, after they fix all of the crashes and syndicate-related-lag issues a lot of people are still having. |
