Technical Support (Path of Exile 1) - Account keeps being locked.... - Forum

I'd MUCH rather log in to find an unlock code has to be entered than to log in and find my account stripped (which is a VERY likely possibility without the account security). I also took it a step further and used a gmail account and enabled the 2-Step Verification so I have 2-factor authentication on my email to prevent anyone from accessing my email without authorization. So I technically have to enter TWO unlock codes to get into my Path of Exile account... and I'm perfectly fine with that. I take comfort in knowing my account is secure. Without that security, I'd be worried that every time I logged in my account could be empty. I know with my current security that cannot happen, so I don't have to worry about it. It's only suffering if that is how you choose to look at account security. I take it seriously and am glad it is there. Hello I really like this game, but the drawback of the block is worsened by the latest patch. It is really frustrating to be interrupted in the middle of the action, or through the mail to get the unlock code. I also play World of Tank, and it never happened such a thing! They didn't change the security to "interrupt" you. Your issue has nothing to do with the patch, and more to do with your internet connection. If it is disconnecting you and causing security dialogs just randomly, then that means your ISP is assigning you a NEW IP each time... that is all on you and your ISP. Could be your hardware, or could be an issue with your ISP or the connection to the ISP. You should contact THEM about it. On a side note, in the future, please create your own thread.
