Vaal cyclone cancel?
Is there a way to cancel vaal cyclone mid-spin? It's understandable that while doing the extra damage / suction it would force me to be still. However, the number of times i've died because some mob got glitched on a tiny pebble or tree root and now had free reign to attack me at range for 10 seconds is starting to drive me mad. there really should be a way to cancel the animation so that after all mobs are dead or if we REALLY need to move, we can.
No other vaal skill has quite the same level of a downside :( maybe righteous fire could contend, but even so...that being said, cyclone is also a tad overtuned right now lol. Last bumped on Jun 19, 2019, 1:54:24 PM

That's the downside of vaal cyclone, otherwise would be too op with no risk at all. When you use vaal cyclone you commit to the whole duration of it and if something big gets sucked in it's your problem :)

My issue actually isnt with sucking big things in. Im 100% fine and capable of killing most things before its duration is up. plus im healing ~100 if not more per hit (on hit healing, not including leech) at a rate near 13 attacks per second per enemy near me. I'm fine when things are NEAR me...
The problem hits when things don't get sucked in. If the thing that doesnt get pulled in is ranged it doesnt even affect them in any way. They just get free attacks for the entirety of your skill...And on top of that, what gets mobs stuck is impossible to tell...the roots i just walked through will hold mobs still from the skill for some reason. No other skill has a real downside...and its not like vaal cyclone does incredibly more damage, its a relatively small margin. I just like using it for things like open rooms / delve. I think the easiest way to fix this would be to change cyclone to be a vortex of damage. if things are getting pulled hit them for a fraction of the damage. ramping as it gets closer. going from like 20% to 100% when they are in cyclone...Who knows. Or give us a damn cancel (T_T). I'd even accept if it gives us vertigo from spinning where we lose like 25% dmg for what the remaining duration would have been lol. |
