Starkonja's Head wording

Starkonja's Head says "50% reduced Damage when on Low Life" and being on an armor piece, this is very confusing. I at first read it to mean you reduce damage taken, but then after seeing there were no down sides to this item, I guess it means reduced damage done.

Needs a change IMO.

"50% Reduced Damage Dealt When on Low Life" - That's my proposal.

Every modifier, ever, in the game, which is worded as "increased/reduced damage" has always applied to damage dealt. I am curious as to why you think this specific one should be different in wording from other modifiers which are identical in function.
Past experience has shown that making this one different will make people assume that other "increased/reduced damage" modifiers must not apply to damage dealt because "why wouldn't they say so like this one", thus leading to confusion.
Is it actually reduced damage when on low health rather than less? It seems a bit... odd :p

Making everything confusing does not make them clear. Just add "damage dealt" to all modifiers and it's problem solved. Takes ten seconds of typing.

Because it's on a helm, dude. A piece of armour.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

It's far from the first armour piece to have damage modifiers. Int shields have increased spell damage, and no-one that I've seen has associated that with damage taken. I'm not up with current mod restrictions, but it certainly used to be possible to roll damage increases of various kinds on some armour pieces, and I don't think it's the first unique armour with damage modifiers, although I occasionally get confused about which uniques are actually released and which are just planned.
EDIT: Deshret's Vise has increased physical damage, and does not specify dealt. Ezomyte Peak, also a helm, does as well.

This clearly indicates it's not just the fact it's on an armour piece which is causing this confusion for some players, and if we're going to make an informed decision about whether to change it and what to, we should first get to the bottom of what other factors are in play, not make knee-jerk changes.

Yeah basically, I saw the hat and thought, "cool an awesome bear face!" then I read "50% reduced Damage when on Low Life" as "50% damage reduction on Low Life" in the context that it's a bear helmet.

Bears are tough, armor is for protection, and bears get more dangerous the more defensive they are. That 50% reduced damage dealt really makes no sense to me. I'm not alone in misreading it, http://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1a6t6m/another_unique_starkonjas_head/.
