Int/Dex hybrid class speculation...
What do you expect from the unannounced Dex/Int hybrid class?
My thoughts so far: This hybrid makes me think of a lot of different possibilities, ranging from an "arcane archer" kind of character to a "trickster" magic user, depending on which stat gets the most focus in the character build. I'd like to see some skills that fit this class, like Int support gems adding elemental damage/effects to bow attacks, or Dex based support gems adding projectile speed and a physical damage component to Int spells (think of it as an "impact damage" bonus). On the defensive side it would be cool to see a class that gives up some damage for superior mobility so a teleport spell would suit this role and Int/Dex gems could change the spell in many ways like reducing the cooldown (Dex) or increasing the maximum travel distance (Int); another cool defensive skill could be a "dodge missile" buff that creates some sort of "force field" around the caster that deflects incoming arrows, then support gems could change the skill so that the missiles are reflected back to the attacker and not just deflected, or the missiles could be redirected to a specific marked target. TLDR: either a mage with high mobility or an "arcane archer" kind of class. This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

I think a monk would be nice ;) The combination between Dexterity and Intelligence should do the trick.

PoE classes have really different back grounds and styles. I mean Marauder + Witch =/= templar !
So i think the last class will be Assassin. When i think about this class i think in a guy who have quick combat tecnics but also use special "cantrops" like illusions and poisosn. I think it's an good Dex/Int hybrid. |

I haven't been able to look at the passive skill tree, but I heard that there are some based on "claw" weapons between int and dex;
which really makes it sound like an Assassin or a Druid kind of class. Anyway, the type of weapon just sounds like its going to be a light (as far as survivability) character that is brutal/unforgiving if they manage to get close- possibly with spells to take on marauder-type enemies. I feel like this is what everyone is already thinking, but I just like writing things down. |
