Stealth Nerf - Cannibal Fire Eaters

Hey there,

cannibal fire eaters (cfe) have been a popular bossing spectre in the past. Apparently they got a quite severe hit with the nerf bat. Was that intended? Just would like to see a confirmation or a fix here.

Any word on this?

It seems like a bug/unintentional adjustment due to the fact that they now spawn in act1 (was previously map only)- I'm assuming this since there was no mention in the patch notes.

FYI: The attack/cast rate was severely decreased.

Bump... lets get this answered.
I would like to have an official statement on that matter too. It was not in the patch notes.
Bump. Would like to know if this was intentional.
Tell me, where are fire eaters located? Arent they in act one?

Now if I recall ggg said they massively re-balanced the early game content around the new melee / animation system. Something like everything in acts 1 and 2

I would not be at all surprised if they were adjusted as part of those sweeping re-balances

Alas this is always a risks with specters. We saw this with revs a while back too. And those are still garbage

It does feel like delve mobs take extra long to die to my cannibal fire eaters. Could be true.
Any dev response?
At this point I think the FE's were nerfed because of the new jewels. With 4 slum lords possible thats 320% increased damage. A bit strong in my opinion.

I have a jewel right now that gives. 4 80% projectile, 2 80% melee, 3 slumlords and right outside the circle is spiritual aid so you get the slum lord added damage. Thats 560% to projectile damage and 720% to melee projectile skill like molten strike.

The nerf is negligible with the right jewel.
