Smite doesn't apply its buff correctly
I played as a Dancing Duo Guradian in Synthesis Flashback and I am playing one again as my league starter, both times using Smite to buff my minions and I noticed this:
Smite only applies its buff, if an enemy is hit with the single target weapon strike. It does NOT apply the buff, if the lighning hits an enemy. I basically have to disable "always attack without moving" to get the buff now. This was not the case in 3.6, you would get the buff either with the melee hit or with the lightning hitting the enemy. This change was not mentioned in the patch notes, so i hope its a bug, because the way Smite works now feels so clunky and makes it so unreliable to use (at least for summoners). And I don't know if this is also intended or not, but you can get multiple stacks of the buff now.
In 3.6 the buff would just refresh on hitting an enemy. But I have no idea if those multiple stacks also increase your damage further. |

Any Updates on this? I haven't seen it being mentioned anywhere (not even in the "Known Issue List" or on Reddit).
I made 2 videos showing the issue: In video number 1 you can see that I don't get the buff, even though i am killing the Writhing Worms. In video number 2 you can see that i dont get the buff when the lightning is hitting the enemy. I basically have to stand inside the enemies hitbox and hit them with the melee swing to get the buff. " This should be fixed in a later patch (I can't give an ETA). |
