Please reconsider the new Rathpith Globe shield

The new rathpith gives 2% crit chance and 2% spell damage per 100 maximum life, this can be applied to your spectres by using necromantic aegis as far as we know.

I ve been playing summoner for years now, so I loaded up one of my recent builds and did the maths.

The spectres im using currently are spellcasters and have a maximum life pool of 82.000 life.

In other words they would get 1.640% increased critical strike chance and 1640% increased spell damage.

Even if their base crit is only 5% this would result in 87% crit chance.

They would also sacrifice 4% of their max life with every cast, but i think this can be easily fixed by using minion leech which you can get on jewels and from the passive tree.

Not factoring in the crit chance, if I just craft a 1600% spell damage shield in Path of Building and use necromantic aegis with my current spectre setup (without min maxing), my overall dps goes up by 246%.

Factoring in a base crit chance of 1.9% by using the "increased critical Strikes gem" as a replacement for my 6th link (assuming spectres have 0% base crit for some reason), my overall dps increased by 293%.

Tho im pretty sure spectres have a higher base crit chance which is not calculated in POB.

My build was already able to clear all content, now i have 4 times the damage?

Which results in 4 million shaper DPS with a non min maxed build and only using 3 spectres and not even using the minion life support gem.

Simple min maxing:

Did small changes to my build (3 skill points changed and swapped in minion life support gem as a replacement) increasing spectre max life, they now sit at 140.000 life (2800% bonus crit and spell damage).

This boosted my overall dps to 5.4 million shaper dps, still only using 3 spectres.


Im all for insane dps builds but this seems kinda broken?

Please reconsider this item, I dont want to play another league where certain players clear all content on Day 1 because of some super overpowered item/mechanic.

Losing your shield slot for 4 million DPS is not a big enough downside...

It didn't even occur to me that the new Rath would use your summons' life with NA, and not your own. Wow.

Something busted this way comes... I can't wait to see someone make Golemmancer, Destroyer of Worlds.

+1, assuming this is how it'll actually work out.

Interesting that no one made math for Winter orb, or any other builds that wipe endgame in seconds lol, but because these skills are getting nerf, local babies come with harvard calculations and QQ about 4 mil dps? LOL every second build can get 4m easy.

I love this kind of stuff. It won't be changed for a long time.

But still if Necro aegis was still there it would be stupidly overpowered. If they nerf indigon but create something like that it would be a big joke.
