A noob question about how to craft flask

How do I craft some flask (e.g. I want some Sulphur Flask with ample/chemist prefix, and warding/staunching/heat suffix). Do I just repeatedly use orb of alternation?

Mostly you just use alterations and augmentations until you get what you want. Beastcrafting can add most suffixes to flasks though, so if you get the prefix you want and no suffix you can do that.
There are item level requirements for most flask mods, but the highest item level any of them need is 20. Have you done something awesome with [url=http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Sire_of_Shards]Sire of Shards[/url]? PM me and tell me all about it!

I'm wondering if flask crafting isn't broken ATM.
I went thru 400 or so alterations and only ever got of steadiness, of heat and of resistance today. Across multiple logins and multiple characters on a quicksilver flask (I was trying for of adrenaline) Yes, I know 'RNG is RNG' but only three of what, eight or nine possible suffixes?
