Blood magic - no life reservation for one aura
From my point of view, Blood magic has too much negative impact on auras. Taking this keystone increase Hp pool nicly but disallow using any auras. I understand that passives which only incresase stats makes game to much predictible, so i would try to split drawback to other types. For example Blood magic allow use one aura without any reservation and decrease life regeneration. This can be explained as our mana is reserved for one aura and we get more life at the expense of life regeneration.
Rf builds shouldn't get too much buff but all others melee builds will get litle boost. Last bumped on May 9, 2019, 10:17:18 PM

IMO the blood magic passive is not viable for life based builds. Since most builds use at least 2 auras, 1 aura bonus would not change much. Losing even 500 life is just too much.
No idea how this would look if it could be combined with MOM (i.e. if you would retain your mana), but 1 extra aura would probably still not be good enough. The funniest thing about blood magic is that it gets even fucked just by a banner.
having 8k hp and 5% mana reservation with a banner = 7600 hp => 400 hp less. That is literally like losing the breastplate hp LOL. Right now its really not even worth thinking about it unless for some fancy geared low life build maybe. ![]() Now look at this fucking section of the skilltree (skilled some stuff for preparing an infernal blow berserker) and compare it to the blood magic skilltre swamp of marauder/duellist. -6 points diagonally to get to the ES wheel instead of 7 to get to the life wheel -MoM instead of Bloog Magic. -Ele Overload instead of ... Crimson Dance ... ? -+1 curse instead of ... (ok this is the point where you can legitimately rip your hairs out due to the insanity of this skilltree balance) -the life wheel next to it has chaos res instead of this bloodless bullshit -Avatar of Fire instead of Iron Grip -a jewel slot which minor nodes give more elemental damage than the melee fysical demeg minor nodes of the equivalent marauder jewel slot -crit everywhere instead of crit nowhere -Souvereignity instead of Champion of the cause Everything that is wrong in this game with class balance can be found in comparing those 2 regions and it is for years like this. old school 2h rt builds and EA build used it too but it is dead considering how much life on jewels and gear you can get now.

" I made a thread about this a while ago. I suggested a hefty amount of life regen, % life recovery, leech, % more life, % less damage taken, % more spell damage (because it is blood MAGIC), and a few others. Any one of these with appropriate values would make the node usable and legitimately comparable to other build paths. |

for me BM needs something that actualy rewards players for reserving life like:
"1% increased aura effect every 100 life reserved" may be a new defensive keystone like a BM vertion of mind over matter "blood armor": creates a barrier based on life reserved (the more life reserved the stronger the barrier will be), It will absorb part of incoming damage, unlike MOM this barrier cant be recharged with leech or regeneration only by doing damage to nearby enemys. self found league fan http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/324242/page/1 Last edited by caboom#7201 on May 10, 2019, 7:23:23 AM
