Interaction of Beastcrafting 30% Quality Corruption with >30% Quality Items
Hi everyone,
the main question I have is, how the Beastcraft "Corrupt an armor/weapon to have 30% Quality" interacts with Synthesis-Hillock- and Veiled-Crafted items that have >30% quality. Does this corruption overwrite any quality prior on the item so that it will have 30% no matter what, or does it stack somehow? E.g. if I corrupt an item with 38% or even 46% quality, will the corruption reduce it to 30%? I guess that will be the case but I just want to make sure that I don't miss something before passing a point of no return. Thx in advance. the crafted quality will stay. the beastcraft affects the baseline quality.
So baseline is set to 30%, plus whatever quality from the crafted/veiled mod. The max quality is still 48% (30+18 craft) though, and there is NO other benefit of this corruption (you do not get corruption implicits, but you DO get the corrupt tag). it's really not worth doing. " But it would be possible to get an item to 28% using Rank 3 Hillock in the Syndicate Safehouse and then use the Beastcraft corruption to get it to 38%, e.g. if you can't craft the +18% quality veiled mod on the item because it has no more free affixes? |

" Synthesis hillock and beastcraft both affect the BASE quality. So if you take a 28% hillock item, and beast corrupt, it goes to 30% with the corrupt tag. Beastcraft does not add 10% quality, it sets an items base quality to 30%. EX: if you have a 28% from hillock, with an 18% crafted mod (46% total), and then use the beastcraft, it ends up at 48%. Ah ok I see.
The added 2% that the corruption would get me when combined with Hillock is defenitely not worth corrupting it. Thanks for the help! |
