Trading is good, stop whining - GGG appreciation thread

You sir are either assuming too much or this is just a huge troll thread. [Removed by Support]
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat:

other games have an AH, yes. there are good points for and against having one in poe so idk what the best solution would be.

what bothers me the most, tbh, is how rude people are when buying stuff. idgaf how many people you had to whisper, if you had a bad day or if you can't speak english. a simple "thanks" would be nice.

instead, it takes them so long to load my empty hideout that the trade request expires, then sit there and need 20 seconds to confirm the trade (hopefully they have inventory space), then just leave. or they see me coming from a delve or map and immediately open a trade. i cancel out of principle and make them accept my own trade request.

this person made my day. friendliest trade i had in years of poe. i still remember it. it's a simple thing, but i'm also a simple attack-helicopter.

At this point I would welcome it if they implemented an AH. Just to see all those tears when the "I want an AH" crowd realizes what trade automation does in a setting with vast wealth disparity.

Not so much, unless I misread. Your original post was clearly tongue in cheek. Xystre appeared to be attacking your stance on toxicity, though hard to tell since his posts most recently have just been "Low IQ forum" and "Make more MTX" so don't feel like his posts are terribly deep or worth the time to figure out if they actually are deep.

That's why I said look up the term fratricide. He was attacking someone on his side from my optic.
Thanks for all the fish!

The biggest paradox here is gamblers who have spent 200+ bucks on lotto boxes and 100+ on stash tabs talking like they are freeloaders enjoying a free game xd.

The moment you "support" (more like let em take ur money) you can't really talk as a player who is playing for free since their monetization techniques took effect on you.

Can't deny 3rd party websites + macro trading is awesome and that we should throw moar $$$ for their FREE trading! We all love GGG! GGG needs our $$$ against toxic people who critize a FREE game!

I believe in free will.

Worst case scenario you are right and now when people in the future come to ask for an ah you can really say "we tried it and it failed".
Best case scenario everyone has a better playtime and all the fear goes away.

One of it's biggest flaws is diffinately trading. It's not good. It's not remotely good. I'm not convinced that an AH is neccisarily the answer it needs, but something needs to be done.

To me, just changing the ToS to ban mass false listings would be enough. I'll be honest, trade frequencies are so high nowadays that a lot of the "non-responsiveness" would still happen because people just sell out of the cheaper options very quickly. But if people can be reported and dealt with for tons of blatantly false listings, then you wouldn't see ten pages of one guild pricefixing an entire tier of map starting 5c under its market value, or falsely listing a type of currency for 2/3 of its actual value in bulk. That's what we need to fucking get rid of.

False prices aren't allowed in real-life marketplaces, I don't see why they should be so tolerated in PoE. The dramatic uptick in false listings are what has made PoE trading so much worse since 2015. We either need some type of marketplace or for the people making trading so goddamn miserable to be banned for it.

The problem is, since all trading search happens OUTSIDE the game, even if you change the TOS nothing changes, because it's OUTSIDE the game. And since our current system actually encourages you to not answer (i am doing lab, i am doing incursion, i am doing syndicate safehouse, i am doing a memory run, i am on a zana map, i am on an abyss. i am on a breach, etc...) you can't know if the guy is really not selling on purpose or he is lab running all the time for example. So that's one more PRO to the side of a ingame market, it makes identifying and punishing this types of behavior easier.
LOL boot licker.

I really like trading in Path of Exile, it's the best.

I just really want to show that GGG needs our support and that trading is really good.

I think it's just toxic people who think that trading is bad and GGG needs our support.

Remember everyone, your personal enjoyment of the game should be disregarded for the sake of a video game company's excess profits.

It's a free game with free trading! Who doesn't like free stuff? I do! It's the free game of the world!

Thank you everyone!

It's just as easy to say, "I think it's RMTers and cheaters who want to keep the status quo."

The rest is just sloganeering nonsense with nothing to add to the conversation when it's obvious that trade is shit right now.
