I really like trading in Path of Exile, it's the best.
I just really want to show that GGG needs our support and that trading is really good. I think it's just toxic people who think that trading is bad and GGG needs our support. Remember everyone, your personal enjoyment of the game should be disregarded for the sake of a video game company's excess profits. It's a free game with free trading! Who doesn't like free stuff? I do! It's the free game of the world! Thank you everyone! I hate auction houses of any kind in games, but I don't think trading in PoE is perfect. It's fine for armor, weapons, and other odd items, but for items you want to get quickly like currency or maps, or if you're in a delve or labyrinth, it's annoying. Some days I have to spend my entire playtime just buying maps for the next tier I want to complete instead of actually running them and that seems counter productive to me
ultimately I strongly believe if you are interacting with a game's economy, in any small way, you should have to be logged in and pushing menus in the game like everybody else. you shouldn't be allowed to affect the game's economy, in whatever small way, by dropping something into an automated trade system and logging off for the night |

The biggest paradox here is gamblers who have spent 200+ bucks on lotto boxes and 100+ on stash tabs talking like they are freeloaders enjoying a free game xd.
The moment you "support" (more like let em take ur money) you can't really talk as a player who is playing for free since their monetization techniques took effect on you. Can't deny 3rd party websites + macro trading is awesome and that we should throw moar $$$ for their FREE trading! We all love GGG! GGG needs our $$$ against toxic people who critize a FREE game! I have nothing but appreciation for GGG, despite its flaws its hands down one of the best games I ever played....
That said.... One of it's biggest flaws is diffinately trading. It's not good. It's not remotely good. I'm not convinced that an AH is neccisarily the answer it needs, but something needs to be done. I think I'd like a marketplace type AH where non-gear items could be sold. I can respect not wanting a perfect instant trading system for gear, that should be special and require extra effort. But not every nickel trade to get a needed map, essence, or some chromatic orbs needs to be special, and force an interuption on the sellers gameplay. Put limits on how many trades can be put through in a time window to prevent mass rapid flipping; but give us tools to not spend 10 minutes securing a few fossils or other petty items. Trading wouldn't be so bad if items were automatically removed as soon as they are sold. Constant messages from people wanting to buy something that is sold irritates the hell out of me.
