Trade Macro allowed?

Hi everyone,

I found several topics on this and they kinda say the opposite things.
Did not find any topic on it in 2019 tho.

First thing I found is that people say its legal and then I see some people posting they got banned for it.
Honestly cant confirm either way. Saw ZiggyD use it so I guess it makes sense?
Will this get me banned if I'm connected to steam?
Cause repriceing everything every month or so is a pain in my a**.

If anyone has some experience with this I would love some feedback.

No one ever got banned for "trade macro" if we are talking about the macro that lets you price check easily.
If someone is saying he got banned for it, he just dont want to admit that he did other shady things and tries to start shitstorm about "unfair ban".

Thank you for your reply, I honestly don't know much about the macro itself, its jst so hard to pricecheck every rare and or unique you want to sell, its becoming tedious do to sheer amount of items piling up...

There are uses of it that are allowed, and there are uses of it that are not.

The key to it is learning what is allowed. Multiple actions with a single keystroke isn't allowed. So if your "trade macro" is posting messages to multiple channels, that will get you a ban.

As a former packrat myself, believe me when I tell you that if it hasn't moved in a month and isn't valued at greater than 20c, just vendor it.

Thank you for your reply,I guess its too much of a risk. Better to let the items rot then to get a ban and loose all of it. The payoff isn't worth the risk in my opinion.

Yeah I understand what you mean, I usually just continuesly drop the price until the item sells or until I have no room and vendor the cheapest ones.
Thanks for the input

The PoE-Trade Macro is fine, it's the POE Trades Companion that is questionable.
Their names are so similar it's easy for people to get them confused.

Nothing the PoE-Trade macro does is against the ToU, fairly sure that's the one that ZiggyD uses. All it does is search poe.trade for similar items and give their prices in an overlay.

That companion one though, it has a feature that isn't allowed based off GGG's past statements of what macros can do. If anyone got banned, this is likely the one they were using.

In the end though, it's better to just email support and ask them which one is allowed yourself. Better safe than sorry. :)
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

Not sure what to do I guess I'll think about it and see what seems to be the best option :P
