The "death" of Diablo 3 after Diablo Immortal announcement and flood of new players from Diablo 3 to PoE was the worst thing that happened to Path of Exile.

Apex Legends Slowly Dying, number of players are down heavily but the number of fortnite players didn't go up that much.

" Diablo Immortal will probably turn out to be one of the smartest things Blizzard has done in recent years, even if a handful of the loudest fans Booed. The most ironic thing about people talking about the death of D3 is we dont even know if there is less people there than here. Its not like PoE is on a LoL/Dota/WoW/CS:Go/etc level. This is a niche genre and a niche game. I mean freakin Borderlands 2 has more current players on Steam right now. Its 31st right now. I think people really over-estimate not only this genre, but this game's playerbase. Hell, half those current players are probably farming bots and trading bots. |
