Why are hideout layouts so bad
Its been bugging me for a while, why does ggg introduce complex shaped hideouts, i dont think majority of people want those, me and my friends just want square or round shaped flat hideout with ability to choose tileset and lightining set. Thats all that is needed to create a good hideout, this way hideouts could in fact have more variety as the player himself could choose what to put there, instead of having forced the already prebuilt arcs, walls, etc.
Heres business idea -> Introduce a pack for 1k usd - a kit to make your own hideout, choose tileset, choose lightining, choose shape of your hideout. Last edited by Aetherium#6579 on Apr 24, 2019, 5:34:58 AM Last bumped on Apr 25, 2019, 12:54:17 AM

I agree.
The way they have designed (most of) the hideouts, limits creativity and options. I want a sandbox, not a half-built template for me to "enhance". Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

I like the sanguine one, but the shaper is the best

Can I choose to see one default ho when I goin to buy somth from stranger?
Its too much already different hideouts cluttering the engine. So need to load for alot of time each new I encounter. They are becoming more and more BS really. Or it is just optimization issue, like with intervention? Idk. |

I really love unearthed, 3 big areas and lots of options... and it's dark ;)
I will wear your ghost and you will die twice, against me and for me.
That is some cold blooded shit to say... |

" The openness of that one is so nice. I made it into a temple with extra gardens and living areas outside. It had themed spot for each master too. It would be nice if they were all generally as open spaced though. The more More you have, the less Less matters

The Doomguard hideout layout is completely wasted.
I like the idea/visuals but the execution fails. Highly inefficient design, disregard the artistic and technical use of space. Last edited by DreadLordAvatar#2783 on Apr 24, 2019, 9:08:20 AM

" I know you can. The "doodads" aren't my problem. The non-symmetric layouts and badly shaped hideouts are my problem. I want freedom. The current hideouts are too limited in terms of creativity. Give me a big ass square with nothing in it. No inner walls. No bumps. No columns. No doorways. I want to make all that myself. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

I use the free Battle-Scarred hideout and it is decorated with nothing but a map device and next to that I placed Jun. Haven't even looked at the master decorations or god forbid MTX decorations.

The shaper hideout is $20 and is the size of a shoebox. Absolutely greedy, lazy design.
