Le Toucan Has Arrived!

It's just not the same without Toucan. I know a lot of people hated it, because it got spammy and ridiculous. But silly things like that are part of what makes this game so awesome. Would love to see a Toucan statue or pet added in for us that have nothing but love for Toucan!

For every person who praises the toucan, there are five more who gets increasingly frustrated with the inability to use the chat for it's intended purposes, or who just decide to keep the chat window closed and never use it. That's the reason behind GGG's muting policy on toucan posts, and while it may seem a bit spoilsport over a bit of fun, I'm inclined to side with GGG on this.

So many people want and could use text chat on console, but if it's going to be nothing but toucans 24/7 then it's going to be no use to anyone but toucan-praisers and therefore a waste of GGG's time implementing and having to subsequently moderate.
