[SOLVED] [Error:-2005270523] PoE FORCING my GPU to overclock beyond its core values

well the bios is controlled by the vendor so I would contact them and ask why this value has been put there.

So in your bios the manafacture have put the boost value that the card is allowed to do when a heavy load is put on it. Please observe that I write "the card is allowed to do when a heavy is put on it". This is very important.

Before having that smart ass tone, read the post properly : the boost value is not the issue. There is a third value, red as "estimated max." and that's what we're talking about here.

no game can force a CPU or GPU to change it's clock

Yes it can, an .exe can force/limit or set a GPU clock speed. Read this Nvidia developers article : https://developer.nvidia.com/setstablepowerstateexe-%20disabling%20-gpu-boost-windows-10-getting-more-deterministic-timestamp-queries

Just like the previous poster, you have no clue what you're talking about, please stop posting on technical forums, I've seen your posts before : it's mostly condescending bs that is not helping. A lot of players have been having this DX11/PoE Error:-2005270523 and you roaming around with basic suggestions may give you an ego boost but it's wasting people's time.

well I have seen your posts to, and must admit that the feeling is mutual regarding you and your posts. :)

However why don't you then explain why the vendor has put a max clock value in the bios that the card can't handle?
And why shouldn't he contact the vendor who made the card and programmed the bios about this?

But I agree with OP that before the release of version 3.6 with DX9 support these problems was not here.
GGG promised a DX11 kernal that would perform better then the DX9 and sadly for many that is not the case.

But where is your advice to OP to solve his problem?
The installation on the Windows SDK and SetStablePowerState(TRUE)?

I am the OP, please read the threads/posts before you reply...and the problem was solved by making sure "estimated max." and "GPU boost" values are the same in VGA Bios.

It works for a few hours of playtime until for some reason PoE brings forth values that are beyond the set values in the VBios.

Something in DX11/PoE is causing this and a possible fix might be on POE's end to implement that SetStablePowerState and the necessary SDK elements to be installed on each computer, for it to run within THEIR .exe
They could have a list of GPu's and their boost clock speeds, and make sure the .exe locks the gpu to those safe frequencies, as an option.

Anyway, hope it might help other players who have been struggling with this error so far.

it's funny that you dont want to know why the vendor put a value into bios that the card can't handle.
Your graphic card specs are strange.

the standard 760 192 bits is clocked at 823 and boost to 888
the standard 760 ti 256 bits is clocked at 915 and boost to 980
the standard 760 256 bits is clocked at 980 and boost to 1033

It almost seems like you have a modified bios in your graphic card.
The 760 192bits and the 760 ti are OEM cards and were hard to find.

Can you post a GPU-Z screenshot ?

Because it's not relevant to the current issue.

If the response is "We shouldn't have done that" then there's still no fix and Path of Exile continues to crash.

If the response is "Because of <reasons>" then there's still no fix and Path of Exile continues to crash.
well GL then because PoE is not forcing the card to use a wrong clock.
PoE is putting a load on the card using DX11 so you are not getting any reply from GGG other then --> we are not forcing the card to do anything.....
