Poe.Trade isn't a site run by GGG. Same with currency.poe.trade. RMT is against TOS and will get you banned.

Now that the obligatory spiel is out of the way, most ads on non-business sites are sold in blocks so they may not even know that they are supporting an RMT site. Either way it's not a big deal to see an ad, just don't use the site they send you to.

" poe.trade isnt runned by GGG right... everyone with eyes can read that on the Botton of every site. Qoute: This site is fan-made and not affiliated with Grinding Gear Games in any way. What does "RMT" means? |

" Real Money Trading. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

The Game is about Grinding... Hours and Days and Weeks and... of Grinding... And i love it! Like (i believe) most of you Guys... So why should i destroy the Part of the Game what brings me Fun... and risking a Ban by using RMT (thanks for the translation)?
The only Way i put Money is the Game is Supporting GGG by buying the Official Supporter Packs that you can see on the left edit: Right Side to buy Stash Taps, Fancy Effects and Wings. i Personaly used poe.trade only because the Guides i use link the Equip in these Sides ( not the GGG Traiding Side ) and since then i stayed there... But when i saw that Ad.. i ask myself. Can i still trust that Page? Last edited by DarudeNeox#7340 on Apr 7, 2019, 4:33:45 AM

PoE.Trade shouldn't be a thing anymore, or private indexers for that matter. I thought that was the entire reason they made their own site.
The sure backtracked on that whole whitelist spiel. Game infested with private indexers, 3rd party sites, RMT, and bots. Didn't one of the RMT guys own stock in GGG? I really have to wonder why they backtracked on that when they were making their own trade site. The trade site should have replaced PoE.Trade, made private indexers a thing of the past, etc. But nope. Lets just make one to shut people up with no real use. |

poe.trade is using google ads
which uses targetted ads based on the users cookies and tracked websites the user has visited which also run google ads and pay google to run their ads. if so this would explain why tc is seeing all these ads for RMT sites. as he's been frequenting RMT sites in the past. ive never seen any RMT ads on poe.trade. but then again i dont go to RMT sites. i could be wrong but from my understanding thats how it works. and if you look at the url of the ad links on poe.trade you can clearly tell they are running google ads. but hey if u really dont care to see it you can always just turn ublock origin and noscript back on. " Google ads are smart, but not that smart. You see RMT ads because you visit sites trading in game items, and RMT sites do a similar thing. It is unlikely that everyone seeing RMT ads on the site has actually visited RMT sites. That being said, I don't know what ads poetrade has because I'm under 70 and know how to block them, and I also ditched it for the official trade site as soon as possible. There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.

" They really should revoke all access to their api for any other sites now that the official trade site has made them obsolete if they follow the rules. It has no ads, no malware targetting dumbasses, the most accuracy and directness in searching for items. Most importantly, this would hopefully finally shut down all those cunts with private indexers who just take away from the economy and make trading a million times worse. There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.
