In order to prepare for the new fossils and essence crafting options unlocking more sources of "Ignites you inflict deal damage faster" with a scourge arrow ignite build, me and my friend did some testing to calculate exact burn duration because Path of Building doesn't deal with that mechanic too well.
The results we found were completely unexpected and reveal a potentially gamebreaking bug in how these stats work. First of all, all sources of "Ignites you inflict deal damage faster", according to our best knowledge should act as a less duration modifier on ignite duration, while keeping the total damage dealt by the ignite unchanged. That means a 50% faster ignite lasts half as long. This is not the case. Testing shows that igniting with Goddess Scorned equipped results in a roughly ~32% faster ignite for example, with all items following suit, generally providing lower increases by a similar margin. (15% malevolence watcher eye comes out to 11.65%, while 35% dyadan dawn comes out to 25%).
But wait. It gets wierder. Emberwake as an item has no effect on ignite duration. We could not yet test damage, but we believe the emberwake negative effect simply is not applied in the game currently. Alternatively, the damage could be reduced while the duration is not extended, making the item either overpowered as hell or completely useless.
All results were taken by recording tests on video, and counting durations by frames. The picture below contains a table with all gathered data. The tests have all been repeated multiple times with no changes in the result, so we could consistently reproduce the issue.

Thanks for your report.
To clarify a few things, let's assume you have 100-100 Fire damage without any bonuses to Damage or ignite.
When you Ignite an enemy with the above stats this Ignite will deal 50 damage per second for 4 seconds (50% of hit damage, base duration of 4 seconds) for a total of 200 damage from Ignite.
Now let's add something which makes enemies burn 70% faster.
Your Ignite duration is now 2.353 (4 / 1.7, rounded) and your Ignite will now deal 85 (50 * 1.7) damage per second over the course of its duration, this results with your Ignite still dealing 200 damage total, but over the course of a shorter duration.
In the case of 50% faster Ignites, this does not half the duration of your Ignite, in order to half the duration you would need 100% faster Ignite.
I hope this makes more sense in terms of Ignites burning faster.
In terms of Emberwake, there is currently a bug where the duration isn't changing and still remains at 4 seconds, we can look into this.

People are confused because this is not how it used to work. See this thread for details: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/78ji86/psa_the_goddess_scorned_dyadian_dawn_results_in/
When I did a Goddess Scorned/Dyadian Dawn character in Incursion, I verified that the math in that thread was right, at least for the duration.
Can you verify that the change was intentional? I can't find any patch note saying this had changed.

I understand that it currently works like that, but it definitely wasn't the case not too long ago, yet there were no notes about the change or why the effectively huge nerf was implemented in the first place.

Jatin_GGG did that. It's not his fault that you dont agree with what he wrote.

I never once said that I do not agree with him, because there is nothing to disagree about. I stated the fact that the game is clearly not consistent with how it worked before, backed it up with data, and therefore made a report of what I think is a bug.
They then replied in a way that clearly means they thought I misunderstood the "faster" wording and it's implmentation in the game, while the post had nothing to do with that. To me it seemed like they misunderstood the point of the post, hence I'm waiting for another reply and bumping the thread.
To clarify, in the past, "Ignites you inflict deal Damage x% faster" modifiers, were NOT consistent with the "faster" wording on other stats. It worked as a Less duration modifier. To illustrate, with an ignite base of 4 seconds, dyadan dawn used to give 35% less duration, therefore cutting it down to 2.6 seconds. We have clear video evidence of the mechanic working like this. In addition, it stacked multiplicatively with other sources, so for example 35% from dyadan dawn+ 50% from goddess scorned resulted in 1.3s duration.
This has been the case since 2.0, the item's introduction. Yet, somehwere between now and incursion the mechanic has been changed to be consistent with other "faster" mechanics, which is in effect a huge nerf in both the stat's effectiveness on it's own and how diminishing the returns are for stacking it.
Yet, we see no sign of this change being mentioned in any patch, nor the reason for implementing the nerf in the first place.
Therefore I want more information, or if possible have the change reverted or the items giving this stat adjusted to reflect the intended power level of the item.

Digging through patch notes, the only thing I could find were the changes made in 3.0.0 where the Damage over Time rework occurred, however in this case the dates of the Patch and the reddit post don't match up.

Thank you for the reply.
Could there perhaps be some numeric changes made to the sources of the "faster ignite" stat to bring them in line with their powerlevel from before the nerf?
I'd imagine it's a lot simpler to do than reverting the mechanic, and it would be better to keep the consistency in the wording.

Jumping in this thread to ask a question, since I'm just starting to unerstand all the bleed / ailment mechanics. Does the "ailments you inflict deal damage faster" mod stack with itself multiplicativly? Like this?
Malevolence Only (15% faster):
DPS: 1*1.15 = 1.15
Duration: 1/1.15 = .870
Synth Implicit Only (35% faster):
DPS: 1*1.35 = 1.35
Duration: 1/1.35 = .741
Together:
DPS: 1 * 1.15 * 1.35 = 1.5525
Duration: 1/1.15/1.35 = .644
