SSF Level 87 stuck in white maps. I never had this happen in my life

MAJORITY, THE VAST MAJORITY WONT TOUCH SYNTETRIS LEAGUE EVEN AFTER THE BUFFS
WATCH AND SEE
They need to increase the drops WITHIN THE MAPS ITSELFS, thats where the end game is, atm maps drop no curency almost, trash gear and ppl are farming for chaos recipe one month after league release
This game and league is showing the true intent of ggg, grab your money above anything else
Game already failed bro, this is why GGG are desperate LUL, Tencent will beat them to a pulp

same here. I have never played a league where just finding a yellow tier map is a big find. I mean, doesn't GGG want people to play their game or not?
You're just not that good at this. Aila was 100 two weeks ago SSFHC. Im not either. Just saying not supposed to be easy. If you want EZ play Trade/Practice leagues with rest of noobs.

I'm playing SSF and seem doing fine on maps... but it did take a little struggle to clear the hump from T11-12.

If you are in SSF map completion has to be your number one priority. You have to pay zana for her outrageous prices. Also if you are doing a zana mission always do a map that you haven't completed (if the option exists) even if it blue or crap rolls. Once completed, a map enters your drop pool and can drop from anywhere. This is super important to get your bonus up.

I am currently at 149 and I am sustaining red maps pretty easily. (Alch, partial chisel, vaal T14>).

I am also using sac frags (although that doesn't really affect monster pack size).

I see a lot of people struggling to sustain shaped strategies, but full completion of atlas shouldn't be that bad.

On the bright side it'll be better after today's patch where ALL mobs in a memory can drop a map instead of just rares.

Mate, I`ve been playing since Warbands. Last league i was farming uber elder which is 8x guardian maps, and this league i saw a single t7 map. It`s not like i`m new at this game. They clearly fucked up the maps, Chris admits it. And map drops were restricted from rare Synth? WHAT THE FEK? I get like 2 of those per zone

STUCK ON YELLOWS, DROPING ONTO WHITES NOW
ALSO, NOT EVEN ONE EXALT ORB LULS
GARBAGE GAME, TIME TO UNINSTAL

That is 100% bullshit to be nerfing yellow map drop rates in maps.

I ran a Synthesis memory fragment to get my one Exalt drop:

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Maps should be (strictly or mostly) drop inside maps. The total system is broken and forcing players to do side activities instead of alluring them...
Two-handed - Mop
Dual Wield - Slippers
One-handed & Shield (close combat) - Brush & Basin
One-handed & Shield (ranged) - Hair Dryer & Mirror
Main-hand & Off-hand (evil witch) - Sponge & Soap

I agree with this principle in essence. League effects should be attractive to players, not force them into the mechanics just so they can play the game. Your in essence creating a brand new game with each league when you do that, and if players don't like that league...well, they pay a price they shouldn't.

But at the same time, they shouldn't be penalized when they run league content by not getting maps. But I think the issue was totally missed my GGG.

IMO it's all about time. I don't get why they think it's needed to nerf maps when they add content to a game that already has content, and all that content takes TIME!!!!

I run a map, it takes time. I run nexus, it takes time. they BOTH TAKE TIME. Map drop percentage should not have to change since time is the gating factor, not increased accessibility. We already had a ton of that. We had delve, temple, syndicate strongholds...this was all in last league, with plenty of options to get maps from those. But they all still took time.

I can buff my nexus nodes. I can buff my maps. I can Sextant my Maps...I can unlock modifier memory nodes in nexus. they both have buffs, they both take tweaking, Nexus just takes more tweaking to get the results, and even more then that to get crazy items with implicits or whatever.

But they all still take TIME, and the TIME didn't get any shorter when they added the Nexus, So I don't see why they feel it's mandatory to nerf map drops. It's pretty obvious that it didn't have the intended results.

In reality, they should keep drops the same as before. I wont' be running maps as much if I'm running nexus, so both places would have map drop rates that are roughly the same. If anything, they should BUFF map drops in nexus over maps to encourage play...not NERF map drops in normal play to discourage players from doing that and do nexus instead. it's bad logic.

Similar experience, though I'm now in the 8-10 range. They lowered the map drops... probably in response to adding a bunch more ways to get maps.

Imagine nerfing the amount of maps a player can get because they can get them in 8 different places...as if the player can be in 8 places at the same time.

People complain that mapping is the only end game. People complain that they have to do other activities than map. The only constant is that there are people complaining.

For maps are the only entrance in the endgame. You cannot speak to Cavas to make him open a random memory personally or find sulphite inside Alva's temple or capture a beast that leads to 258 delve depth and so on. Maps are like the root of a tree and other activities like branches(without interconnections). Without map maintenance there would be no other activities at all(except for farming Syndicate in Quarry - which had been "hotfixed" in a recent patch). So there are basically two choices -

- Make maps drop in every other side activities(no shortage at all), players could freely choose what to play
- Make maps drop mainly in maps, and other activities provide unique benefits(like unique items and rare mods) that players could weigh what to play(do you need extra exp or good items?)

Unfortunately now they are forcing you to play all activities to be able to get along(this can actually be dated from the very introduction of the Labyrinth). A kind of...effectiveness, or even scrutiny, on using resources, not like a game with freedom and fantasy but like the overcrowded reality, which I have witnessed in other games like World of Warcraft.
