Connect Memories achievement bugged

Howdy,

So it appears that the Connect memories achievement is bugged;




The achievement has the following conditions:
1. Twenty connected memories
2. 2 or more memories placed on amplifiers
3. 1 or more connections to a distant memory
4. Only one connection to the memory nexus

As per the screen capture below, I fulfill all the requirements, yet the achievement does not trigger.

as a complement of information on this, here is a list of things i have tried unsuccessfully to resolve the issue;

. Logging off/on, restarting the client
. lower the sequence to 20 connected memories
. triggering a separate chain of memories to update the "board"
. manually deleting some memories on the sequence
. buying a mtx, praying to kadaka

Bumping thread, bug still there and a friggin nuisance.

I just completed this challenge. I too was running into issues, but here is what I've figured out:
- the 20 segments need to be in a sequence, meaning in a row. Branches do not count towards the 20.
- it seems that the Nexus does not count as part of the 20
- the 2 memory modifiers and 1 distant do not count as part of the 20. To be clear, these three segment are considered branches.
- even if you have 20, if the path connects to the nexus at 3 or 4 points, it doesn't count. I had a long sequence of 20, but along the way it was connected to the nexus at 3 points, even though the sequence itself only actually went through the nexus once for the chain.

It's a bit confusing, but this is what I did to finally complete this challenge. Hope it helps.

If what you are saying is correct then yes it does help but then the achievement description seems like absolute dogshit;



So in the screencapture i posted showing my memory sequence, i should delete the branchings and basically connect more memories up to 20?

Can GGG please confirm or deny?

And for the record, i'd like to point out the inconsistency in the achievement description that a sequence does not proclude the usage of branching. As per any definition you may find anywhere, ever.

I got it with 21 segments, including the distant and modifier nodes. And I had 3 branches in mine as well.

so I don't think that all those restrictions listed earlier are necessary but probably a symptom of some other bug(s) preventing certain valid configurations for the challenge from being properly detected. But I suppose anyone looking for a foolproof plan that potentially avoids any possible bugs should give it a shot.

Thank you for that, the plot thickens, i guess all i'm missing is GGG commenting to settle that ;/

So in my case, i fixed the issue by running the first memory in the sequence starting from the Memory nexus and replaced it by a fresh memory so the game would try and recount.

So apparently the game counts once when you place a memory on a sequence and that is it.

Can someone tell me why this layout does not work? I'm certain this should complete the challenge.
