Filter by color of sockets

I'd like to put a special background to 4S items (gloves, boots and helmets) that have all blue sockets, linked or not, but the item filter guide suggests that there are filters only for number of sockets and linked socket groups.

Is there any syntax for filtering by not-linked, or not-necessarily-linked socket groups? Specifically, I'm searching for an item with 4 blue sockets. I need that two of them are linked, but the other two links are irrelevant.

Maybe you would find what you are looking for if you looked up name on items at Gamepedia wiki for PoE? They have lists of item that have certain rolls and from looking at name you would know more or less what kind of sockets that could be on it. Item that are all INT based (those are all blue sockets or roll blue more easy then other colours, shouldn't be a problem to find and with only two links on four sockets that shouldn't be too hard to get. Down here I wrote something before I re-read your question and I hope it is still relevant for you or at least other that might read this post.

As far as I can recall NeverSink (Filterblade) mention something about limitation for how much information they could pull out of API to display in such way as you describe. What you ask for would make it too easy to find item that fulfilled those requirements and ignore all other items. If you run a certain class you will be more likely to get all blue [INT] as a Witcher, then as a DEX based Duelist [more likely green sockets] as an example.

There is also possible that GGG don't want to fine tune filters like this as you have craftbench recipes (you can find those from doing Delve [I have at least up to three sockets and links between those] and you find those rather earlier, but for 5L and 6L you have to dig really deep) that you can get to craft item after socket colour.

It is all RNG based of course as you can only limit colour to a certain degree (as long you haven't found recipes for more sockets/links) like keep at least two blue and one green, but not which combination of sockets will get this colour when there is more then three sockets, then you will have to have good RNG to systematically get what you want until you get those higher level types of recipes, same for linking, and there is a high cost the more socket or links that are involved.

Maybe there is some 3d party app that could help to sort out items better that after links and colour or at least show dropped item, so you can look for those on ground?

Right now I am trying out Exile Diary which track your runs and list items found in a session, how many death your had and that kind of information. That might help you to track items that you want after you have cleared a map or killed a boss. I use a costume filter with costume sound and couldn't add my filter (created from Filterblade), but Exile Diary still seem to work to show information, so if you use costume filter that Exile Diary get an error, it still works.

As always it is from a third party and there is always risk involved with using an app that isn't directly from GGG, just so you aware of that and not believe that GGG have anything to do with this app outside of providing API which forum like PoE forum itself make use of while you a playing and logged into your account on this site to show your own character information. In my humble opinion it offer something that are useful and not more of risk then other sites that can display character information. Read on Reddit to see for yourself how it works and what it does. There is also a link to a video

With NeverSink (Filterblade) you can press ALT key to still see everything on ground that is just being hidden (it is very easy to change things on site and use simulate tab to see how it looks, before you create filter for download and to make those labels easier to see as those can have small icon with colour and links. In default filter you can find those symbols as small colour coded icon with yellow colour for links to the right of text on label.

Hopefully there where something useful for OP or somebody can offer better help.
