Essence overrided "prefixes cannot be changed"

Why essence whiped my item?

I have quiver with

P - Bow fires 1 more arrow
P - Elemental damage to attacks
S - dex
S - Prefixes cannot be changed

and then slammed essence for dexterity and there is new shitty item in my stash .. why? why prefixes cannot be changed allowed prefixes to be changed?

It’s intended. Been this way since essence league when people were abusing it. Essences ignore master mods.

A mark1030 explained. Works as intended. Same applies for Fossil Crafting.

Essences (and Fossil Crafting) is a crafting category for more deterministic crafting: Creating Bases To Craft On To (eg anul, exalt slam, multi mod, etc). -vs- chaos spam.

The weaker version (the very first in game, 1.0) of this deterministic crafting is the Alt-Regal-way.

And then there is Beast Crafting, Jun's Veiled Mods and the new crafting bench.

Synthesis crafting will be another one of this Base Item crafting, to craft on top of it. And the broken mod thing will be a goodie (happy RNG, to get useful T1-3 broken mods on an item).
