Spell skill - Totems vs Self-Cast
Setting aside the differences between spells and their interactions, I believe the result of this comparison is very close to what we will find ingame. In this test I used Freezing Pulse with a generic life based crit spell gear.
4 Totems = 1,6M dps on Shaper (Hierophant) (requires +1 Totems on shield) Self-cast = 1,5M dps on Shaper (Inquisitor with consecrated ground) Self-Cast = 1,7M dps on Shaper (Occultist with warlord's mark) So, what I see here is that their dps are more even than ever and the ascendancy choice is just a matter of quality of life. - Hierophant = low risk, don't get hit playstyle, low life regen, mid mana regen. - Inquisitor = mid risk, semi facetank playstyle, mid life regen, mid-high mana regen, elemental ailment immune. - Occultist = mid-high risk, semi facetank playstyle, high life regen, high mana regen. Major concerns: Hierophant = roll +1 Totem on a decent shield. Inquisitor = power charge generation (maybe through orb of storms). Occultist = how to curse warlords mark on enemies to regen. Looks like we have this time a solid "higher risk, higher reward" philosophy with much less variance between the options. What do you think? Last bumped on Mar 6, 2019, 1:23:09 PM
