Sarlaiel's DW BM Duelist Build. High life/dps/aoe/regen/block. The perfect DW build

This is for a lvl 82 Duelist. I personally don't believe you can make a better all around build for a duel wielding duelist. 5000 life. 39% block. 260 regen. 12k single target dps. 9k aoe dps. Max resists. My build still has 6 life nodes right beside me to grow into with levels(over near ranger tr)

I see a lot of you are having a hard time with builds. Hopefully this will help you. I can solo maps pretty well with this. Only mob I really have difficulty with is high end map bosses like piety or Brutus.

Edit. I do 12k single target dps now with anger and wrath. Haven't tested with Hatred or Haste yet, but I assume its significantly higher. Once I make a friend who runs those auras I'll let you know.

Could you please give some info on equipment and skill gems you use?:)
Agreeed. Would like to see the equipment. Impressive numbers
Why skip Iron Reflexes? Have you considered not doing blood magic for auras?

Armor is worthless and therefor Iron Reflexes is a waste of points. My old build on closed beta had 16k armor(without flasks), it helped me absolutely 0. I'll never use a point in anything armor related again.

Blood Magic is mandatory. No way around it.

As far as my equipment and skills I use. Honestly I'd rather not share all that. My build is pretty unique and I want to keep it that way as it keeps the price of the gear I use at a normal level. If this "build" were to get popular, all my gear would be expensive.

Either way, you don't need to know my skills/armor I'm using. The passive skill layout is what makes this build unique. You can use this passive tree with many different builds.

Blood magic, well i dunno... all bm is good for is ele ranger imo... mana>bm cause auras rock, hatred\determ(haste)\grace\anger\purity. also resolute for dw with twin razors so close >.< ... 78 mara btw, plowing thru anything with DW axes.

Proly a very solid build but defo not the best dps wise.

I was BM (passive) before and I'm considering using a gem for DS/Cleave instead? I'm just trying to figure out if it's really that 'mandatory' at all. People like BM, but you're giving up a lot by going passive BM with some killer auras.

Do you think it's generally accepted that armor is really worthless?

Well.. it depends... I personaly use IR with grace+determination+granite+6 endurance and zero ducks are given about any incoming phys dmg unless it's map boss etc.

But seeing that I no longer need such high defences I'm thinking of respecing out of IR and determination into haste and grabbing some extra life nodes or something else.

Armor is 100% worthless against bosses cause they hit for 10k and that hit armor negates maybe 5%.. endurance charges add 30% on top so 35%...

Endurance charges are great ;)
Little bit of forum hunting and detective work has been able to allow me to glean some information about your build/skills used/etc. Not a lot, but still, interesting, very interesting :) I can see why you'd like to stay quiet!

I've been trying to come up with a way to make a dual wielding witch work in HC (yes I know, I'm a major glutton for punishment. I just like the witch as a class too much). Probably never will, all the good passives are way down near duelist/ranger, but one can still hope. We'll have to wait and see what other skills/passives they introduce to make melee a little easier to survive in, especially in HC. Still, I did come up with a fairly decent plan as a berzerker dual wield type. It'll basically mean about 10-20 "wasted" points trying to reach down to the desirable tanky dps passives.

Still, an excellent build, Tyger. Definitely gave me a few ideas for coming up with a witch version. Thanks!
