Weapon type: Whips

My 2 cents in this matter:

Another things to consider why this weapon has not yet been implemented to the game:

Visuals:
One of the possible main visual problems the whip may have "in-game" would be the attack speed animation. Been thinking about it, the repetitive animation with other weapons is less challenging, and also, due to inertia modifiers not been present on them. Everything is visually speaking. However, this may be also a new mechanic feature, meaning there would be a shorter attack-speed-cap for this specific weapon. But also, with new good things, bad things come along: meaning, the skill tree paths would be restictive (or even not designed for this).

Mechanics:
Inertia - the less attack speed due to visuals, leads to a standard attack speed cap. Also, since its ranged type (needs accuracy), would be hard to make it fit into the actual skill tree near dexterity area. And then again, attack speed nodes of dexterity area become useless.

Partial melee/utility - Hybrid combo, rare to see, hard to master, another thing to think about during the skill tree modification. Worth doing it its the real question. You may be wondering now: "partial melee?" -Answer is yes-: its half proyectile, it does not have a "speed projectile bonus" feature, its also capped. Only new modifier would be the range range (and that's not that new but, still challenging to balance. I think).

Chemistry with current content:
1. Not much chemistry with current gems, or several of them.
2. Polemic due to half melee half ranged features.
3. hard to balance with CURRENT gem pool (and we are talking in a hypothetical context were there would be no other problems at hand).
4. would really need a lo of feedback to perfect, and a lot of tweaks (im no programmer, but i can picture the challenge level IF it is decided to implement this).

However, its nice to dream. To be original, and not only to be original, but to HAVE the original things implemented.

PD. and to answer the guy above me, yea, i necro this cause the thread was already there, no new threads about this, however, thread rules (commonly say) state: that there should be only 1 thread about the same subject (or problem, suggestion, bug, glitch or w/e). Not several.
Please add flails or at least skin for them.

I'd like to see staves split up into 2 subtypes (Battle staves and Sorcerer staves) To allow for modifier spawns to be easier to get-- Its annoying as hell trying to get a good melee staff to drop when they spawn with caster stats so much, just split the two kinds.
