Nonono. Actually its perfect fitting too! In psychic integration (i.e. Synthesis (lol)) conscious and unconscious meets each other "face to face".

Tho in a healing session - there is dialogue, not fighting. Fights are for "rudes" and not actually solving problems, but making them more complicated. And inner fights are dividing conscious into more antagonizing parts.

Can say, Shaper guardians may be Shaper parts too, they are guarding core of the main person. And Id (ake Elder) is eating this person`n memories and resources.

Yes, many people, myself included, would love to rescue Shaper, as was my first thought seeing the trailer "We Can Save Shaper After All" . . . even though I was thinking it could also be the guy who Valdo tossed into the map device to avoid death.

Inb4 both manifestations merge to form Uber Shaper.

Of course, Cavas is the ghost/spirit of the Shaper. Or maybe even Valdo himself, without his Shaper powers. GGG wouldn't use the same voice actor without a good reason. He lost his memories - yeah, we already know the Elder took them. That picture with a red haired little girl is a dead giveaway too.

He doesn't need to be a younger version though. He was not necessarily an old man. He just made (shaped) himself into that appearance. Remember the pre-3.1 dialogue when he revealed his face, tentacles and all, and Zana cried, 'Father, why would you do this?'.

Zana is in her 20's. Valdo should be in his 40's, pretty much what Cavas looks like.

I really doubt that the Elder is related to him. The story is pretty solid there: the Elder is an agent of Decay, a powerful being from another dimension, whose mission was to prepare grounds for an invasion, but he got trapped by the Watchers with Starforge for an unspecified amount of time, until 15 or so years ago Valdo stumbled upon him and the High Templar released him. He resumed his mission and spent these recent years spreading decay and fighting off Valdo's attacks. Eventually he managed to capture Valdo and consume his memories, but then he got defeated by the Exile and banished back to his native dimension by Zana.

Can't wait for double uber cavas, where we fight all 3 shapers at the same time.
