Aura frequently deactivating

Same thing happend to me before on a new character I made this week. As well, the Tempest Shield aura/skill will cancel itself whenever I enter a new area. Same as OP, not on keybind, no weapon swap etc.

It COULD be right-clicking an aura by accident, I can't rule that out, but I can certainly rule out everything else.
I'm sure that everyone else including myself does not keep auras on the hotkey bar once they are activated -- does anyone have enough slots to even do that?!? No, I activate my auras and then immediately replace the hotkey with some skill I want to use. I suppose even if I did not have enough skills I thought worthwhile (??), I would remove the aura from the bar to avoid a situation like this one I have been posting about for a few months.

No, no gem leveling for absolute certain in at least two circumstances.
The last time it happened within one battle! No area transitions at all!
