Mechanical question - Heartbreaker cull with Heralds

My search-fu is weak. I found a lot of info on Heralds and a lot of info on Heartbreaker's "your spells have culling strike", but none on them together.

Culling support is popular on HoI. This got me interested in whether or not HBs cull would apply to the HoI explosion, thus freeing up a spot for an alternative support gem.

The Heralds are marked as spells, but they are just oddball enough that I wanted to check before I assumed this would work. I am looking at HoI and HoT, in particular.

Anyone have experience on whether Heartbreaker's cull passes to the Heralds of Ice/Thunder's on kill effects?

Yes, you got it right :) Heralds are your spells and your spells get global culling strike from the dagger
