Sire Of shards and molten strike
" That's a way to see it but i was thinking that sometime the difference between hitting 2 ball on single target and hitting 3 can come from 1 additionnal projectile and in this case it's a 50% upgrade. Molten strike is complicated to theorycraft and i have no idea how to do it |

" Molten strike projectiles are sampled uniformly over a 270 degree arc, so the end result is only pseudo random. Therefore the chance of hitting multiple projectiles in the same attack is exponentially less for each one that lands in the target radius. To make matters worse, I have a gut feeling that the "Nova" from sire of shards actually increases this to a full 360 degree arc, thus further limitting the chance for multi hits. That's just conjecture though so it may not be case. Regardless I think that the loss from sire of shards is far too great in comparison to another weapon, especially seeing as you cant run lycosidae / a yellow with hits cant be evaded. That was also my concern that the nova thing decreases the amount of balls you can get on a small surface.
You convinced me that a grelwood shank is better in any points for molten strike |
