Syndicate freeze immunity

Honestly, what is the reason for them to be freeze immune? Syndicate bois are essentially a boss encounter, and GGG had dropped this mechanic quite a while ago and only reserved freeze immunity for the most dangerous end-game bosses. We have been able to freeze any other map content enemies ever since. Why does it not have the place now in Betrayal?

Even after nerfs, syndicate is easily the most dangerous content we've had running the maps. They are tough and have tons of hp, they hit like a damn truck and there can spawn 3 or even 4 of the bosses at once! The mobs that spawn around are a nuisance and not to be taken lightly too with some stupid archers hitting you more half or more of your hp from far away distances. They become a real pain if you dont take care of them fast enough, to the point where you're running around just killing stuff and having no idea whats going on, what do you hit and what hits you. Its just so much chaos and visual clutter on the screen that you cant even tell if the syndicate bosses are using their abilities to try and dodge them.

And to add to the above, they are also affected by the map mods. This is where things truly get unreasonable, especially at tier 13+ maps. Random one-shot or getting bursted down in a second? Any time of the day.

I have built an absolute beast of a character with a little bit over 1mil dps against standard bosses in PoB. Its a self cast Ice Nova with Ass mark + Frostbite apllied with HoT. I can destroy all map content and freeze even t15 bosses. The obvious weak point is the need to stand still to cast, thats why i went for the offensive curses and maximum dps - i only live if i can freeze lock enemies around me. And I've been able to progess this build really well up to t15 maps and do all the content except for the syndicate. No matter how tanky i made my character or how much dps i stacked, i still die like a bitch sooner or later. Hit a wall at lvl 95 now where i lose more exp than i can gain.

The league does have an end game boss encounter, Catarina. No problems with that one. But why cant we freeze the ordinary league content you encounter in maps? This makes no sense to me at all. Syndicate is already insanely strong even with the nerfs, and on top of that they are affected by maps mods which already dictate how hard exactly the content is going to be. And there are a bunch of mods that directly contribute to boss beefiness (and ability to freeze them): extra life, resistances, endurance charges, avoid ailments, reduced crit dmg taken. I feel like syndicate would take a good spot there with just every other standard boss in game - they are tough and dish out a lot of damage, but if players invest in a particular mechanic to carry the fights, they should be rewarded. I dont see a reason why freezing bosses should suddenly be different with this league content vs all other content in the game.

TLDR inability to freeze syndicate bois is unfair and makes no sense, GGG pls reconsider

I feel its one of the least important things for players regarding this league and very little people even noticed the issue probably, but it was still a big deal for me. Especially considering Betrayal going core in the future, i am quite bothered how unfair it is that you can freeze every other boss in the game but not the bois :/ Ofc they are not Shaper tier, Catarina is, so why the controversy then?
they are all stun immune too. i think it has to do with the 'can't be fully slowed' attribute they all have
They definitely aren't getting frozen then? As in Herald of Ice won't trigger on killing them, or various other things that go off freeze?

It seems odd that they'd all be immune since before this only Rigwald is truly immune. Certain other uniques such as The Shaper, Guardians, Beyond Bosses, Atziri, etc (see the Freeze wiki page for the full list) are not immune but do have a minimum action speed they can be taken down to thus they'll still be able to take actions while frozen just like a Juggernaut with Unstoppable.

One way to conclusively test is attach Ice Bite to the skill in question and if you then kill a Syndicate member on their own and gain a Frenzy charge from that then they can definitely be frozen.
