Cant log in

I created an account linked with my Steam Account and have played about 51 hours total so far. My husband accidentally unplugged my computer and when I turned it back on my Steam Account no longer had Path of Exile listed. I went to the PoE website and my account does exist there and it shows my characters. The problem now is I cant log in to it as it was using my Steam account to log in but now my Steam account does not have the game. How do I get back into my account ? Do I have to start all over again?
