With the new league announcement coming today, once again I feel excited like a kid before Christmas :)
Metamorph was a fun league, but after doing some tough T16, I decided I was done with it. Doing a full-juice MM in the Lab gives you nothing more, not even new dialogs from Tane. Would have loved to get unique organs to create a Uber-Metamorph :D Besides, I'm glad I could do it on a budget : 6ex is not that much to go into T16. I'll use my current stuff for reference for a budget version of the build. As you can see, the only expensive items are the daggers. Other than that, the only required unique is the Starkonja. And this one has no enchant. No Ryslatha belt, a 6L body for 1ex, no catalysts on the jewellery, no Aspect ring. No expensive flask or anything. In a game that can be so complicated, it's good to make things simple :) * As I haven't played these last weeks, I'm ready for a fresh start in 3.10, with Pirates/Torment 2/Ghosts/Depths or whatever league it is. > For the moment, I have no intention to make changes to the build. I was about to recommend replacing Faster Attacks with Vile Toxins. It's a huge DPS boost. I also run Skitterbots for that sweet sweet shock and chill effect. I know that it's not the full shock effect, but it's still gives a huge DPS boost. I wish PoB will calculate that in future versions.
Can't wait to see the changes in the next league. Not sure if I'll go with this again, it'll be my third league if I run with this again. Anyone interested in my PoB, here it is. I can't open your PoB, it says error 302. From your profile, that seems all good to me. One can see you know what you're doing. Do you get enough poison dmg to use Plague Bearer frequently ? Vile Toxins yes, it's better for bossing. Skitterbots is a good idea. I will give it a try. But with the Mist in Delirium, I want to go back to the "invisible" setup with Aspect of the Cat, and become a Mistwalker. This way, on top of not seeing monsters and degen grounds in the fog, I won't see the char either :D Might as well turn off my monitor... PoE : Pitch Dark league, here I come ! I'm already getting in the mood with the new theme by Orman-Janowski. After Synthesis, Legion, Blight and Metamorph themes, another impressive feat. * With the new clusters coming for the tree, 3.10 will be the time to discover new options. As soon as they release the list of all 280 notables, I'll try and do a short list of 10. I'll be looking for dagger clusters, dual-wield, maybe dodge, life, mana... Better find very good ones, as they will cost a lot of points. In both cases, I think it's better to keep the socket near Acrobatics to put a Thread of Hope/large ring to allocate Phase Acro and Silent Steps. * With v3.8, we need to cut branches like Revenge of the Hunted, Heart of the Warrior, nodes in the big life cluster etc. Then we allocate points from the socket near Point Blank. * With v3.9, we can remove the Written in Blood cluster (4pts) and the western branch past MoM (12pts). That's up to 16pts, which should be enough. And we allocate from the socket near CI. I was wondering why you removed Aspect of the Cat in this league's setup (maybe I missed it), cause it was such a good defensive/offensive buff.
I get enough poison damage on my Plague Bearer. I only activate it along side Withering Steps when bossing or against very dangerous mobs (deadly map mods). In beefed up Metamorphs, I activate it twice because it either runs out or I need to get away from mobs to assess the fight so I deactivate it. In terms of damage, the combination of Banner planted, Withering Step, and Plague Bearer erases more than half of the hp of fully beefed up Metamorph bosses and Awakened Elderslayers. I do 4.8m Shaper DPS at 6 stage release on PoB. Of course this is dependent on me focusing on offence than moving around to dodge attacks. And yes, I get one shotted by bosses. I think it would be a good idea for you to include in the gem setup section which gems needs to be qualitied and which gems benefits from being level 21. This will give people an idea which gems they need to prioritise leveling up. What I found out from the 2 leagues I've been playing this build are: 1st = Infused Channeling - Quality as soon as possible 2nd = Vile Toxins - 21/23 for max dps 3rd = Blade Flurry - 21/20 or 23 for dps and attack speed 4th = Fortify - 21/20 for dps Other gems: Bloodrage: L20 = no need for quality. Quality gives a small amount of dps. War Banner only needs 10 quality Link Vaal Ancestral Warchief with Damage on Full Life to give you more dps and clearing when needed. I want to test linking this to Blind Support for defensive purposes (another step into becoming invisible. An alternative if you don't have smoke cloud flask). All Aura gems including Plague Bearer and Withering Steps don't need quality. Level up Precision until you have 90 mana left unreserved. Ice Golem requires atleast 70 mana to summon. With Skitterbots and Shock, I'm still not sure whether adding flat lightning damage is a reliable source of shock. I'm not 100% clear on that mechanic. Your DPS is actually higher because the Elusive buffs are not taken into account : +1% crit chance, +99% crit multi, 20% inc atk speed. I didn't use Aspect of the Cat this league because of the new MoM setup. I wanted to reserve as few mana as possible. But I realized that even with the 25% of Aspect, the build is still viable. Though squishier when you take a big hit obviously. I'm having a hard time planting the banner. So much buttons to click already, and it lasts only 2.5sec. The new unique body would expand this duration to 6 sec and make it spammable (since banner stages on hit). Thx a lot for the advice about quality and levels, I'm adding them. Now, the big question : " If you know Saint Seiya, you know Cygnus has a master, the silver saint of Crystal, whose own master is gold saint Camus of the Aquarius. With three different Ivory watchstones (Terror, Misinformation and Stalwart Defenders ), you get +3 level of monsters in a map. So you can turn a T16 into a T19*.
[*To my deepest regret, those watchstones do not work with Blighted maps. I would love to turn level 86 unrighteous to ash !] I took a T16 Canyon and proceeded to juice it up with sextants and scarabs. Here is the result :  And here is the video I've made from it : #16 : The Grand Canyon I had never put Incursions and Legions in videos, so this was the occasion. I edited out most of the twinned boss fight, because it took forever to kill those damn Archer birds and their big doggy companions. So it's time to put on your sacrificial garbs and your feathered helmets, Exiles and watch me suffer against these buffed Vaal constructs. Seriously, these old temple rooms were more crowded than a 6pm suburb train ! i'm looking to play your build next season, never try blade flurry before. But I was wondering, how it will perform in delirium since it will be an heavy clear map season with a lot of trash. I have no doubt to clear the end game with this spell like elder, shaper,... but I'm a bit worried about the clear speed of the build (I'm looking for a build who is OK in clear speed Don't need a zoom zoom build)
