QoL: Fast Transfer from Inventory to Stash (screenshots included!)
Hello GGG, hello players,
I think I have a nice suggestion that is quite good for the players and is also in advantage for GGG itself. It will make Stashtabs way more interesting and therefore will help GGG to keep financing this game. Since our inventory is so small, I often end up tp'ing back multiple times or need to leave behind items I would normaly take with me, but dont want to spend time transfering all these items into my stash. =============================================================== So here is my suggestion: A button that transfers items from your inventory into your stash tab. It will speed up the process multiple times, giving you more time to play and reducing the time for micromanaging your inventory/stash. It could look like this: ![]() On the first screen, you can see a new button below the inventory (the one with two opposing arrows) and a selection bar right to it. When you click the button with the red circle overlay, a window appears like in the second screen. Here you can see all your created profiles. Those profiles give you the option, that only certain items get transfered into your storage. Currently, the profile "Currency" is selected, so when you press the button with the arrows on it, all currency items in your inventory get transfered into your currency stash tab. If you want to create a new profile, you have to click the text "create new profile" in the profile selection window like in the third screen. In the fourth screen, you can see now all the options. You can activate all the categories you don't want to transfer by hand. So if you like to automatically stash your currency and map items, you must activate the options "currency" and "maps" like in the fourth screenshot. All other item categories won't be transfered now if you click the transfer button. Another important thing to note is, that options like Essence and Fragments will be grayed out, if you don't have the necessary stash tab for it (like in the fourth screen). So you won't be able to activate this option. =============================================================== I hope you like my suggestion. I know it also has a disadvantage: It makes having certain stashtabs more important, because it helps you clear your inventory much faster, which can be important for speed runs. But I think that most players who participate in speed runs will have those stash tabs anyway. Also I think everyone who really likes PoE and constantly plays it should spend at least a little bit of money to support GGG, so that this game grow more and more (especially after the Diablo Immportal fail :D). I really wish for some feedback. I mean, if it isn't liked by the community, GGG has a clear indicator that they do not have to care about this one. But if it is liked, they may put it on the todo list to give us this quality for life function.

I welcome anything that improves/reduces the micro. I would love if I could click one-button and it would automatically transfer items to my stash, where I want them (as in: currency into currency tab, cards into cards tab etc).
This system could be made very sophisticated, if you allow it to have same level of customization as the loot filters have. You could set what items to move into what tab. For example: if portal scrolls, dont move those and leave them in my inventory, else move currency items to currency tab, etc etc. Move this here, move that there. I've been wanting something like this for a long time now. 177 Last edited by toyotatundra#0800 on Dec 23, 2018, 4:37:58 AM

Didn't really have time to read, but saw pictures and just wanted to add. It should have a way to set which inventory slots are considered - since most people will have a row or two of currency and such sitting in inventory all the time for general play. Besides that, i like it a lot. Anything to make me stop spending time on inventory tetris all the time, prefer playing.

" That would be great. More customization would really help. Maybe players could even use premium stash tabs as possible targets for the transfer button. |

Bump! It would be nice addition without impact for any game mechanics.

" Yeah I think that is the most important part: It doesnt affect game mechanics. Like I said, you could only argue that it speeds up your game process, which is important on pro-level. On the other side, all pro players have those storage tabs. So np I guess. |

too complicated, we could have little currency inventory bags for orbs we always wanna carry around (like those bags the chinese have to pay for) and there could be one button that transfers the whole inventory into stash.

Your suggestion is nice and very well presented, But it will (probably) never happen, not any time soon at least.
" The reason I think it will not happen is because every single thing you listed here that this suggestion will improve, are things GGG want you to do. They want looting to not be super convenient, they want your inventory to be small and your portals to be limited so you have to make choices that matter. They want this process to take you not insignificant amount of time to do. They want all of that, and if I dug deep I could find you some quotes from the lead designer of the game confirming that. Now granted, his philosophy on the matter might change in time, but there is no indication that it is the case currently. Last edited by golan4840#5583 on Dec 25, 2018, 1:35:51 PM
