Improve Staff Mods (possible Scepter, too?)
Because staves can roll spell and attack skill oriented mods, due to their hybrid nature, I really would love to see them improved. I think staves (possibly scepters too, because they hybrid, as well) deserve their own mods that apply globally or have multiple applications. For example, it might offer a special global-style physical damage mod so it adds its own base physical damage but also to spells. "Adds x% physical damage and y% to spells" for example, complete with other unique mod rolls (perhaps at the cost of certain others they cannot get) like "x% Increased Hit Damage" which would apply to any direct damage melee or projectile source. It would make using them and gearing them much more enjoyable. I'd love to use staves more often but I almost never get a rare staff with rolls I really want. Scepters face the same issue, so maybe they could also be tweaked?
It's just incredibly demotivating to try and make a staff build only to so consistently get Accuracy and physical damage as a caster, or spell damage as a melee user. This could allow for a revamp and rebalance of existing uniques or provide room for new uniques. There could also be new crafting recipes introduced specific to staves (and scepters?) to match the change. Last bumped on Dec 19, 2018, 11:46:06 AM
