Syndicate Strategies

Only level 31 atm but the entire Syndicate mechanism baffles me for some reason.

I decided that for every encounter just picking whatever option shows up on the right: so far it's Bargain or Execute.

Any ideas what this will mean long term?

There are some maps showing what reward to expect to help you which option is best (if you have a certain goal for rewards). As far as I understand there is a "built-in conflict" between getting access to items now (bargain, execute) from defeated member and increase their rank at the same time, so you will meet them again next time.

Game start by focus on Transport ["safehouse" - one of four top nodes: Transportation, Fortification, Research and Intervention] OR you put them into interrogation which take them out of the respawn table for three rounds (meaning you will have three time Immortal Syndicte fights where they aren't part of that nodes defence). They get also moved down in rank by doing this [look at each members picture in IS map before you interact with them to decide what to do - there are stars representing rank] (bargin, execute moves them up) which means next time you meet them they will have lesser reward.

There are different strategies one can have in mind depending on how one want to play this kind of mini-game.

As completely new player myself, the reward that gives item to reveal Veiled items is useful so you can start craft items with Veiled mods later on in game. You need to check in your inventory if you have any loot with a special dark area with some moving stars for where it could be a veiled mod which is useful for crafting. This is by itself a long time strategy as you need a lot of items to get those items you might use on your character for gear or you need to trade items you can craft with those that you can't yet.

Another strategy involves rewards for maps and item related to later game play which can be useful to start to collect. In general fighting two bosses at the same time up to act 3 (or around level 30) works ok for me. But start to get really messy and it is hard to keep up with getting gear, skills etc to work as each time you get into a new map they will spawn either as a timed (countdown clock start to tick) for Transportation (that three green tower caravan you see first time you start Jun's quest) or Fortification (buildings). Fortification is a better option as if you die you can go back and continue fighting until you win, but Transportation can be really hard to get to later in as you to find you way back in a maze (maps like underground, sewers, catacomb) and you really need movement speed or skill that can teleport you forward to catch up.

In Research you have to kill bosses before their minions and themselves manage to damage certain boxes around in that lab. Abilities that teleport you and kill minions seem to work to get this done before it is too late. There are several rooms with again work as a maze, so the faster you get around the better.

As for Intervention, I haven't been able to see how that work yet as I have just started to get enough XP into Research.

Just so you understand: If you put every member into jail (Interrogate), then you gain very fast XP into that node they belong to, so that is not a good strategy if want to avoid getting Immortal Syndicate to show up everywhere you go. Their leaders will also be shown in IS map (default keybind press V). You will want to reduce trouble from having to fight leaders and all bosses at once that have increased into rank to support her/him, so will want to have betray as an option to reduce that part when this happens.

Personally I will focus on getting those Veiled mods and then see what happens. It is a bit too much to get a perfect match up of rewards, strategy to get the right people into a node and then be able to kill them. Transportation (kill bosses before they reach a portal on map) and Research (kill bosses and minions before they have destroyed boxes representing achieves) are both timed events. Fortification is probably the easier one (you can get back when being killed, ask for help in chat or just avoid that place until you feel that you can kill them as far as you don't leave that map completely to reset).
