4K bug? Faulty tv?

Hi guys! So I was playing Path of Exiles for the first time (great game!) and I noticed that when in the passive skills menu, if I would move the cursor, my screen would kinda...darken a bit. I also noticed the screen would darken a bit while moving my character. it's very subtle but noticeable. I went to my xbox display settings and put it to 1080, instead of 4k, and the "issue" is gone. I Just got this tv a few weeks ago and never noticed anything like this before, so I'm just wondering if this is a known bug or if you guys know what would be causing it?

Sounds like a setting on your TV. Probably something about auto brightness. Change back to 4k and go into like user preferences or something. You should find some color choices here also (like warm, cool, skin-tone, etc).

If it does not stand out, will need exact model of TV + your Xbox settings (HDMI, 36 colors?, PC blackness or Monitor??).

It's not a setting on the TV. I got the RCA RTU5540-D and it has barebones settings. Only extra settings it comes with is the noise reduction and a dynamic contract option. I tried changing them and it didn't make a difference. Also tried changing between cool, warm, etc and made no difference. I'm using HDMI 2.0, 10bit colors in the 4k settings. Maybe I should try setting the colors to the default 8bit and see if that does anything?

Tv is 6ms, 2160p btw

Very strange since I normally notice every little detail in my games or movies and this is certainly a first.

Can't seem to find that model number so I can pull up the manual. Checking over at http://www.rcatelecanada.com/manuals-downloads. Will do some checking on my setup when I get home, though I am on an LG 4k.

Here's the link of the tv. Got it for 350 plus tax.

I figured it out. It was the color depth on the xbox. Anything higher than 8 bit was causing the dimming. Also it was making the game much darker compared to 8 bit. I had it set to 10 bit because if it's on 8bit, it flickers when playing 4k content (Xbox one s well known glitch apparently? )
Using 12 bit with standard color space here, have not had any issues.
