Belly of the Beast 6 sockets no longer possible?

I was curious, havent played the game a ton, but I got a Belly of the Beast to drop and as I was upgrading it, I was able to reach 5 sockets. I tried to do another reroll, but it said i was already at the max sockets. Is this a bug? Did I miss something or am I just stupid. Can anyone explain as to why I can't further upgrade this item?

It's likely due to low ilevel. If you manage to find a 6 socket recipe (or buy it as a service from someone), you can increase it.
