non-chaos damage as extra chaos damage + damage effectivness

For example you have 100 fire damage (base), you will do 96 fire and 4 Chaos damage.
With 100% fire damage, it will become 192 fire damage and 8 Chaos damage With +0% fire damage, +100% Chaos damage, it will become 96 fire, 8 Chaos damage With +100% fire and Chaosdamage, it will become: 192 fire damage, 12 Chaos damage. "damage effectivness" only affect flat added damagemods like + 1-10 added lightning damage thru jewels, etc Last edited by Fumina#3873 on Dec 13, 2018, 7:58:40 AM

According to the wiki with regards to Damage Effectiveness and Damage Conversion, it should be applied after the fact.
Damage Effectiveness applies to the base portion of a skill, so things like "Adds 12 - 34 cold damage to spells" would be affected by damage effectiveness. Damage conversion factors that "add" as "extra" are applied after the base damage is calculated. Lastly, it should easy enough to test this assumption by doing some simple math. Path of Building can even do the math for you and all you need to do is the math for either case and see which one lines up with the results. " The first bit is inaccurate. That would be true if it was "4% of damage is converted to chaos damage" but in the case of "4% of non-chaos damage added as extra damage" it would be 100 fire damage + 4 chaos damage. Last edited by Xero_Veritas#5653 on Dec 13, 2018, 8:05:43 AM

I have this bonus on my dagger but i use spell so its work or the extra damage is for the stat of the weapon and boost only attack skill ?

Its very powerful because my scepter (not dagger) have cast speed on implicite, spell damage bonus, cold damage bonus, +2 to cold gems, gain non chaos damage as extra chaos damage and i can craft a veiled mod like "cast speed and arcane surge" for +23% cast speed or auto cast a socketed spell ^^ |
