Depends on what you mean by "illegal".
It is not illegal in the sense that you can get fined/thrown in jail/executed. It is against the game rules in the sense that your account can be banned for it. |

" It's against the rules in every game unless that game sells the items themselves or, in the case of Blizzard, allows purchases to be made with real money in an AH environment. Really, this question could have been answered with simple common sense. |

" Technically speaking it is. Just need to involve a lot money than $50. >.> If it involved several million dollars than it becomes a problem. |

" Do you enjoy being a dick, because after reading 3 of your posts, that's the impression I get. You are like the hall monitor at school that everyone hates. Go to hell. |

" It is not illegal in any country that I'm aware of to sell virtual goods for real life money.. against the Terms of Service or not. That means that they will not put you in jail. If I wanted to sell a unique item here for $200 real life money, the worst thing that could happen to me is that GGG could ban my account. The government is not going to come after me. They cannot really sue me for damages. I didn't break any laws. I only broke the game rules or the Terms of Service, so they can ban my account. |
