For example, vortex has 1.8s cooldown. Will CoC cast this multiple times a second?

It also has its own internal cooldown, per skill it is linked to. So even if the skill you wanted to cast was really fast, it cannot cast any faster than CoC will allow it to cast on its own. I want to say the current cooldown for CoC is 0.5sec, but it has been a long time since I investigated that support gem, so I could be off.

I was hoping to make a 6l CoC vortex chest with 3L frostbolt cospri. But doesn't look like it will work.
Now I am looking towards 6L ice nova with 3L cospri frostbolt. Not sure if it is viable.

Next maj put cd of Coc to 0.15 down from the actual value of 0.5.
That's why there is many posts about Coc right now.

You can always go 5L nova + vortex, making it cast vortex on cooldown and nova the rest of time time.
also, frostbolt + gmp + cold snap cospris.

it would not be dual wielding cospris (tho you can if you want to).
the frostbolt + gmp + cold snap would be a support setup for triggering nova/vortex and to get the chilled ground from cold snap.
