Stash Tab Idea discussion (portable and automatic trade)

i am a rather Green player at this, only being in act 5 on standard league so far.

not sure if these ideas have already been discussed but i was wondering what the community would think about these ideas.

1: shop tab
i know the premium stash tabs let you trade. where you need to go to one of the trade sites, find the item you want, whisper to the seller, wait for an invite, go to their hide out then trade to their stash.

now if you had a tab that you simply put the item in there and set a price. then anyone while in game could search for the item and get a list much like from the NPC vendors....or would that take away from the flavor of the gaming experience?

2: portable stash
this one might be a bit controversial.
an item that lets you access your stash while in the field. i would especially like to hear what long time players have to say about that idea

i completely dislike both!
it will end up in items that wont be worth anything.
when you can list your items perm and everyone undercuts each other the whole economy would crush instandly. ok, its always the case in sc but any ladder would be like sc after 1 week.

The second one will neer happen. GGG has the policy that "items matter", so you really have to choose what to pick or what not, what items deserve their place in your inventory and which ones are not worthy. A portable stash would gainsay that policy to a large degree (maybe not much for players with the vanilla stash, but even so...). You can read something about that policy just in the same link above ;)

ah i see. like i said i am still rather green when it comes to the amount of content in this game, and the kind of economy it has. coming from Diablo 2 type games it was a bit jarring the first time i played PoE. the more i play it the more i see why people, who get past the initial learning curve, love it so much

Did you take a look to the whole thread? 44 pages of complaints, suggestions and opinions are not enough for you? I'm pretty sure it's more than enough for a newbie. Emphasize with the person who feels the problem and give him something to understand the current state of trading. He asked for opinions, specially from long time players, and in that link he can read more opinions that what he could ever get here.

there is no bullshit in ggg's argumentation against more trade effectiveness.

it's the opposite, playerswhave no arguments against their reasonings. "will be fine and work out ok" is no argument.

situation is already fucked up enough, no need to make it worse. you know something is wrong if you need trade macro to manage alot of trades which may get your account banned under certain circumstances.

you think that's getting any better if they add more automation? you think you will sell shit if tools auto adjust prices and do the auction house management for some?

i personaly use mercury trade and acquesition to manage my trades and its 100% confirmed that its allowed.

show me the dev post stating that mercury trade is allowed. please include the version of that script cause features may vary between releases.

problems with these tools is that supporters using them have a huge risk cause money is attached to their accounts they may lose. while non suporters have no real money risk at all.

by adding more automation and so tools required they increase the risk for their supporters and people may support less cause they own no rights on their accounts whatsoever.
